Question about boys going the bathroom!

My little one is going to be 3 in October. Last week this happened when my dh took him to the bathroom, (we are potty training, have been for quite a while but that's a different story ) He was trying to go potty, and started saying owie,it hurts. My dh looked, and there was a little black spot over where he would go potty, it was kinda crusty. Once he peeled that out, he got pee on his face because he instantly started going! We thought it was strange, but it happened again last night. Any idea what that would be? I have no clue. I don't know if I should be concerned with it or not. This morning I looked closer at it, and where there should be a little hole, you couldn't even pull it apart for a while. I finally did, but he was saying it hurts. Does that make sense? Anyway, sorry to be so detailed! Thanks.

If it were me, I think schedule a trip to the doctor's office. I'd want to make sure I got it looked at before it "heals over" and would need surgery to fix it. Just my 2 cents. I hope you get it figured out. Undecided

My nephew had surgery when he was 3 because his hole was trying to grow back together. I think it was not properly formed being too small and they had to open it up more. I hope things turn out well. Grin
