  Clay for abscess
« on: October 01, 2007, 01:38:23 PM » by Mom2four
Hi all, I posted this under the bartholin abscess topic, but I haven't gotten a response so I thought I would ask under a new heading, since that is an old thread.  I think I have one of these, and it is not huge or excrutiating yet, but I would like to hopefully prevent that.  I have some clay, but I have never used it, so I'm not sure exactly how to go about using it to draw this thing to a head.  So far I have tried GOOT, tea tree oil, and currently I have raw honey on it.  It is not getting any worse, and it may be a little better, but it has not come to a head.  How long should that take?  How exactly do I use the clay?  I am also taking garlic internally to try to prevent infection.  Anything else I should be doing?  Thanks so much ladies, I had no idea what this was when it came up -- you guys are really a wealth of information.

My experience with clay is not exactly like yours, but it might be helpful.  My daughter kept getting abscesses/boils on her body. (we're not exactly sure which one they were as we never took her to the doctor)   The first one was on her side between her ribs and hips.  It was huge.  That one I just had her soak in a hot tub with DSS.  The next one was on her leg, and this one I decided to get some bentonite clay.  I got the powder and the internal kind.  I mixed the powder with water  to make a paste and put it on the spot and lightly covered  it to keep it in place.  I did this overnight.  By the next morning the spot had decreased in size by over half.  Before I had put the clay on, it had a head on it and after the clay the head was gone and it just looked like a red spot.  I also gave her the internal clay to help her body get rid of whatever was causing the problem.  IMO, she had a staph infection in her blood that was surfacing on her skin.  In all she had 5 big spots that came out.  Since I have treated her with the clay and various other herbs, she has not had another one.

So I guess it is ok if it doesn't come to a head?  That was going to be my next question.  If the clay absorbs the infection it may not burst, correct?  I thought of the raw honey because someone told me it would draw out splinters or infection from bug bites, and we used it on a place on my son's arm and it worked great.  Now that I think about it, though, it never formed a head, it just decreased in size until it was gone.  Hmmm...my first experience with something like this in this particular region however.

That is interesting- I wonder if the clay could absorb like you said without it coming to a head!!  Let me know what happens!
