I PM'd you, but I'll post here, too.
I seriously doubt that you are taking too much iodine. Since your ND said that you were extremely low, this is more likely detox reactions. However, if you are concerned that you are taking too much, take the Iodoral every other day or even every 3rd day (assuming you are taking one a day, here.)

If you are familiar with Dr. David Brownstein, he put himself on iodine regimen, monitored his own bromine detox output (urine),and found he was detoxing of bromines even 9 months after he continued on the iodine/Iodoral (I think it was actually Lugol's solution.) 9 months is a long time to be detoxing, so you may have a long road ahead of you.

If you are truly concerned, I would put in a call to the ND who put you on the Iodoral. Certainly, she could help you here.

I am just wondering about the brassy taste in my mouth. On curezone, it says that it is from the bromide detox, but somewhere else I read that if you have that you should stop taking the iodoral.

I do have a call in to my ND.

I absolutely love how the iodine has helped my energy level, and so much more tho. I'm taking such a small dose, and she said I was deficient, so I'm sure I'm not taking too much. I was taking 1 12.5 mg, and am now cutting that in half daily.
