I'm Tiffanni and I live in Iowa with my dh, 2 daughters (10 and 7.5), 1 son (2 yrs. old) and another on the way.  We may be relocating to Missouri, somewhere near Kansas City.  We are looking for land that we can homestead on.

I homeschool, homebirth (UC), breastfeed, use herbs and homeopathy (some) and we try to eat whole/organic as much as possible.  I am 18 weeks along and just getting over morning sickness.  I didn't have morning sickness when pg with my son, only the girls so we shall see what we get but based on that, it's probably a girl.  Oh yeah, both of my homebirthed babies were right near or over 10 lbs.

Dh has his own business and travels quite a bit.  We go to see him as much as possible but with the m/s I that has slowed down a lot.  Nice to find this forum!

Hey I'm Sarah.  I'm 27 and live in the South with my fabulous husband and our 2 sons, ages 26 mos. and almost 6 mos.  We enjoy playing soccer in the front yard when my husband gets home from work and eating chocolate ice cream when someone gets hurt.  My younger son has special needs.  I'm new to healthy living, and definitely want to rear my kids differently than how I was reared.  I really enjoy reading all of your good advice and hope to have a little wisdom myself someday.

Hello, I just figured out that I'm to introduce myself  (I've already posted 3 times) This is the first site I've ever posted on, so I'm still learning.  I'm Jo, a one-husband-only wife married to one of the best of men,Thad. We've been married over 25 yrs. with 9 children (3 men,5 little ladies and 1 tom-boy). All are home taught- the first 4 have graduated with 5 left to go! We live in the base of the thumb of  Michigan. I use to be a nurse working in a hospital but became a stay at home wife/mom early on in our marriage. Never regretted that decision! We're both a bit over 50 and wonder how we got here so fast!!! Thad has had his own constrution business for over 30 yrs.  I get to be his office manager and some of the children work in the business. We tend to use herbs to deal with health issues more than using drugs or doctors. Being as we have a large family we've had allot of situations to deal with and experienced  the success of using herbs and the advice of many counselors. Although we are not into healthful eating the one principle we have taught and try to practice is not to over eat ( I think being a glutton is how the Bible refers to it) With my gleaner like tendencies  I'm so tickled to find this site and to "meet" all of you! Hi!!!
I've been visiting for awhile and finally got to feeling bad for always getting goodies and never sharing so I joined up. Grin Now I FINALLY introduce myself. Well Tell Me has been a tremendous help. THANKYOU...
I live in TN with my wonderful man. We now own one acre of land. This is divided into thirds - pasture for our goats, a big garden, and the house and yard. We lovingly call it our MacKinkade farm since we also love landscaping with herbs and flowers. The boys have their own "tree stand" and swings and a hammock are coming this spring. Our chihuahuas give us one or two litters a year. Chickens, both layers and broilers are on the list of things to do this year. We also have a very good mouser who regularly has beautiful calico bobtailed kittens! Want one?
We have had three fullterm pregnancies- all energetic little boys! They are our primary motivation for learning healthy living!! We want them to be sound of body, mind, and spirit. Our worldview makes us think that they will need it to survive, and not only survive but to also be of godly service. We started changing our eating habits immediately after our marriage and now I need to learn the art of healing with herbs and nutition....that's where you all come in Grin  I am definitely the odd ball in my big family. I like to say that God made me the way I am because I would fit my husband just right. Cheesy
Personally.... I love to read and learn stuff. Most of my "education" came this way Cheesy I'm one of those people the librarians hate to see coming with my huge stack of books. I also had the priviledge of international travel. AND I have to admit that being a nanny-maid sure is educating!
Gardening and babies and animals...well I could hardly do with out them. I just HAVE to have something to nurture Roll Eyes   My husband has designated all research- as well as organizing and analyzing it- to my department and I dooo sooo love it. He's very much a hands on person. He's the one who makes all the nifty gadgets that help make life less complicated. Cool
Our dream is to find a large acreage somewhere farther north and live as self sufficiently as we can.  When we have our several hundred acres we'll build a cabin just for folks like you to come visit!!!
Nice to meet you!

Quote from: Mama Bear
Hi!
My name is Gina and I have been married to my beloved for 21 years! I am a homeschooling mama to my 5 blessings. Our first 4 children were given to us by God through adoption. We were told after many fertility treatments that it wasn't likely that we would ever get pregnant. 16 years after these treatments and our 4 beautiful adoptions...we found ourselves pregnant!!! Our DD was born via c-section in 2003. Since then we have tried to have another child...but haven't been so lucky. We have had 2 very early miscarriages since Dec. I feel that God is going to bless us with another child, but am very discouraged by my Dr.s. They say my age (40) probably has a lot to do with it. I did see a naturopath this year and am currently back to trying her recommendations (diet changes). Currently I am taking Y.A. and tummy tuneup. I am trying to get back to a good diet and exercise. The longing for another child is only getting stronger.
Just wanted to introduce myself and to ask for prayer on this matter.
I have lurked here for awhile and really like this board. I am looking forward to participating now instead of lurking Grin

Hi!   I guess it is time to introduce myself.  I have been lurking here for several months and have made some posts.  I really love this forum!  My name is Pam and I am 42 yo.  My husband Scott and I share our birthday except I am 6 years older.  We have two beautiful daughters Abbie is 6 and Bess is 4.  We homeschool.  I have been interested in herbs for many years but I am now learning to put it into practice. We raise our own chickensfor eggs and hope to raise some to butcher next year.  We are also raising  rabbits.  We have a Dexter cow which supplies us with raw milk.  We also garden which is a struggle in Missouri.  We are big fans of NGJ and I love Rebekah's herb articles.  I also like to read and scrapbook.  I look forward to learn more from all of you.

Hi,
I'm Liese. I am a 38 yr old, married mother of 4. Three boys Tristan 17, Wyatt almost 10, and David Peter almost 8 weeks, and one girl, Harley who will be 7 in 2 weeks. We live on a tiny family farm in way southern Oregon. We have a cow for milk and raise her babies for meat, chickens, geese, turkeys and ducks for eggs and meat, goats for milk and meat and my husband raises Labrador hunting dogs. We homeschool, host a weekly Bible study in our home and attend a local church. My husband is studying to be a pastor(didn't see that coming 12 yrs ago) and he will be an awesome one. A friend gave me "Created to Be His Help Meet"(same friend who told me about this forum) and it was the best blessing of my life. I cringe when I think of how I used to be and what I put my husband through. He says it makes him want to do whatever he can for me when I have that "right" attitude. Our marriage and family have been truly blessed by that book. My husband is a Mr. Steady with ALOT of Mr. Command Man. We have a large garden and I freeze and can as much food as possible. It is our goal to raise all of our food and be as self sufficient as possible. I am learning as much as I can about herbal remedies and natural healing for my family. This site and No Greater Joy have been wonderful learning tools for me. I am completely computer illiterate( in fact I accidentally erased my first draft of this)and have never been involved with a forum, so please be patient with me and forgive me my ignorance. I spend alot of time just figuring out what the abbreviations stand for. Smiley

I'm Ginger, from Texas. Big fan of NGJ and Above Rubies. I'm a homeschool mom to 4: Pedro (18, adopted last year), Elena (6), Chloe (5) and Lydia (1). We are in the process of adopting 3 children from Liberia: Daniel (2), Eric (5), and Beauty (7). We are very excited about our upcoming additions and I love to talk about. Grin
I'm a Speech Pathologist by profession, although I now mainly give free advice and ocassionally barter services for friends whose children need help. I love answering questions about speech and language development or dementia/Alzheimers, tho.
I'm a joyful wife of my man, Kyle. He's 100% Steady, so it was particularly hard for me to read CTBHH as it meant I was going to have to start serving more and stop being served so much!  Grin I've got it good and any complaints I have are not met with sympathy by my friends, just like Debi said.
I love to read, especially non-fiction. My passions are: Charlotte Mason, herbs and food as medicine, and parenting. My other hobbies are scrapbooking and photography.

Hi! I'm Renee from Virginia. Married to my lover and best friend and visionary man. We have 3 kids (5,3 and 17 months) and expecting our fourth on Jan 1! I'm so exicited to see so many people who love God and are homeschooling and want to be naturally healthy! (they all seem to go together, don't they?) For the past 2 or 3 years, I've developed a real passion for eating and living naturally. My husband supports me in this and gets a kick out of me getting so excited about a new remedy I discovered, the same way he gets excited about 4-wheeling!

My husband is a computer programmer genius, musician, hug tackler, outdoorsman and wild at heart man. He currently working for the NSC at the White House. He's even had a few personal notes from the President, thanking him for the work he has been doing to simplify their lives.  I love to brag about him! I'm just started homeschooliong our oldest who just started kindergarten. I decided to retire m y home graphic design business and devote more time to homeschooling, baking homemade granola, having our own garden, and learning about herbs and natural medicine  Grin.

Nice to meet you all. I've already learned so much and have gotten some great ideas, like rewarding the kids with homemade cookies when they do their chores for the week, eating more foods with Lysine when you cancer sores and the little fat daggers that are made in homogenized milk.

I found out about this forum from the NGJ newsletter. I joined this forum a few days ago and have already learned SO MUCH! Thank you to everyone for posting such helpful information. We used to have a plant nursery and we raised herbs. We were too busy selling them - and never got into using them. Since I know how to grow them - now I need to learn how to use them! Hi everybody!  I'm an urban Iowan who enjoys learning about all things, healthy, natural and green.  I started reading about natural health issues primarily to prevent illness, but it has become our lifestyle.  I've been blessed to have found a Christian health "coach" who has provided me with much information as well as raw milk, honey, and fresh eggs from her farm.  I enjoy cooking/baking, trying to make as much from scratch as possible.  I love vegetable gardening.  Other interests include walking, biking and DIY home projects (I'm thrilled to have found a green building supply store just over an hour away).  I work PT.  My awesome husband of almost 8 years owns a small window cleaning business in our city and he makes me laugh hard every day.  His loves:  God, me, hunting/fishing, and my kefir smoothies Grin.  No kids...yet.  I am 41 and there is always hope.  We will be content whether God fills the quiver or enlarges the tent, but we are praying for the former.  I am so glad my friend told me about this site.  I have already been encouraged by the wisdom and support I've witnessed here.  I look forward to learning from your experiences!

I have just recently been introduced to this sight and I think I'm here to stay so I thought I better introduce myself Cheesy.  I am a young mommy been married to a wonderful man for 2.5 years and we have two boys 18m and 4m EJ and Justus respectively.  My interest in all things healthy and natural is a legacy from my mom who was into natural healing and homeschooling WAY before it was cool  Cool.  My husband and I are transplants to Texas for a season so hubby can go to seminary (and in a past life I could attend law-school).  I look forward to making use of this info sharing and encouraging forum for some time!

I see that this is where we are supposed to introduce ourselves. (Just a suggestion, maybe intros should have their own forum so they can be easily found by newbies.) I am forty-two years old, have lived in California my whole life, have been married to my wonderful husband for twenty years, and have two children whom we have always homeschooled. I have been reading NGJ for so many years I can't even remember (way back before any of the kids got married, that I do know!). I have been interested in healthy eating and living for about three years. It started with my now ten-year-old daughter, who had eczema, headaches, and tummyaches constantly when she was little, and four years ago I figured out that she had a processed dairy allergy. Since then I've read Nourishing Traditions, The Untold Story of Milk, The Whole Soy Story, The Fat-flush Plan (more a healthy eating book than a weight-loss book), Fluoride:The Aging Factor, Eat Fat, Lose fat, Cholesterol Myths, The Maker's Diet, The Great Physician's Rx, and a few more I can't remember. I want to get some sort of certification eventually that allows me to write prescriptions for dietary supplements so I can help people get them when CODEX restricts our access to them via that manner. Then starting two years ago I began having very heavy bleeding, which over the course of another year made me extremely anemic, and last summer I ended up having a hysterectomy. It was all caused by a little fibroid that was not detected by manual examination, which was why I was never sent for an ultrasound. Odd how almost dying gives one a new appreciation for one's health, huh? Wink

Anyway, I read about this place in-where else? Cheesy-the lastest issue of NGJ, so here I am to learn and share and cheer on all the Pearls! Cool

My name is Lydia and I've been married for 12 years.  We have 4 kids in our home that we are raising.  I'm sure that I am nowhere near as righteous as most may think I am.  I have a very sinful background.   However, I believe that the Lord is continually working on me and is not through with me.  He has delivered me completely from drugs, smoking and other bad habits.  He saved my husband after 8 years of prayer.  This website is a huge blessing and I'm thankful to be able to share with other sisters and brothers in Christ.  I have always had such a deep respect for the Pearl ministry and I've been reading "No greater joy" for many many years.   God bless the work you are doing for the Lord.

Humbly,
Lydia

Okay, I have been reading the posts on this site for a few months now, so thought I'd introduce myself.  My name is Holly and I am -ouch- 42 years young.  We live in Alberta, Canada.  Actually, we moved in August from the foothills of the Rocky Mountains to the prairie part of the province.  We really miss the mountains, but, am so looking forward to growing a garden.  We have been blessed with two perfect children, a 17yo daughter and a 13(almost 14)yo son.  My husband got us all hooked on the sport of motocross, hence my user name.  Our son races dirtbikes provincially all summer long (would love it if we moved to California - the mx capital of the world!!).  I am thankful we all enjoy it so much.  Both our kids are black belts in Taekwondo.  We spend most of our time together, but, love that most of time!!  We homeschool and again, enjoy that most of the time!!  I have recently understood true salvation and am so happy and content and telling all who will listen!!

Any other Yoopers out there? Huh

Well, I guess technically I'm a troll, not a Yopper.  Cheesy I was born under the bridge, not in the U.P.  Undecided We've been up here for 4 years now, and not planning on leaving.  Smiley I love it up here.

Anyway, I just recently found this website through NGJ, which has been a tremendous blessing to me. Although frustrating sometimes, when I think about all that I have to change in my parenting.  Embarrassed  I am happily married to my Mr. Command, which is wonderful. (Although rough at first, I'm a little hard headed, not a good combo with a mr. command  Smiley) We had many go rounds at first, which of course he always won, which made me even madder. LOL I then came to know the Lord 4 years ago, and He has softened me and made me see that I'm supposed to be submissive, not controlling. Our marriage has only gotten better, especially since I read Created a couple of months ago. I think my husband loves that book.  Smiley He likes to joke around and call me his help maid. We have 3 wonderful children and due for another January 31. Tanis Riley is 7, almost 8, Bailey Francine is 6, and Olivia Jean is almost 2. We lived on the typical American diet, with occasional health spurts (husband initiated Roll Eyes). I had more of the mindset that doctors know best and if everyone else is eating it, it can't be that bad. Then I went to a homeschool conference a little over a year ago and found the book The Maker's Diet. About a week after that my sister dragged me to a vaccination seminar. Since then, most of my family has decided I'm a freak.  Wink I've learned a lot in the past year, and am still learning. It took us a while to really stop eating all the processed food, but we did. I lost 25 pounds in less than 3 months just from changing my diet and doing a cleanse. Then I got pregnant, hope to lose the rest after baby comes. I have to say though, this pregnancy has definately been better than the last. We don't always eat perfectly, we are on a budget and organic veggies and meat are expensive up here. Not much to choose from. Our dream is to someday soon have some land with goats, chickens, and a BIG garden.  Cool But until then, we're doing the best we can. I'd like to get some of those Supermom tablets everyone has been talking about, hopefully will be able to soon. Well, sorry for rambling. I need to go, I've been on this computer way too long, trying to read all these posts.  Grin

Hi, from South Carolina!  I am another Newbie.  Heard about WTM through NGJ and my great friend and sister-in-law, Dara. I have visited this site occasionally over the past months, now we have our computer in our living area and high speed internet. Smiley
I am 26 and married (51/2) to a great Mr. Visionary.  We have tons of fun and all kinds of unexpected adventures.  He has a great sense of humor and has taught me to not take life (or myself) so seriously.  That has been VERY good for me.  I am a great fan of "Created to be" and so is my husband  Wink.  Just wish I would have been able to read it several years ago. We love NGJ and listen to almost all of Mike Pearl's weekly messages.
I am also a mom to three boys.  Two biological and one adopted. Ages 4 1/2 years, 3 years, and 2 years.  My little balls of energy keep me well occupied and I don't have any bored moments (and probably won't be on here all the time for that very reason). Smiley
I am a homeschooled kid myself, my mom is an herbalist & midwife so I learned all sorts of great stuff without ever knowing that I was learning it.  We treat nearly everything at home, and live a generally healthy life style. (I do have white sugar and white flour in my pantry  Shocked )  So, we aren't all out, die hards.
I love reading and squeeze in an amazing amount here and there, scrapbooking, cooking and baking (especially gourmet and international), and general household work.  I used to do a lot of tailoring  and all sorts of custom sewing. That was BEFORE three kids.  That is certainly a thing of the past now. Smiley Now, I have fun homeschooling my kids in a playful sort of way. I look forward to the years ahead when I can do a whole lot more in this arena.
So, there you have a little bit about me, hope you enjoyed it!

As a way of intro, I am 29 and have 3 beautiful and spirited children...2 girls and one boy.  I do homeschool (this is my dfirst year LOL).  I have been studying natural health now for about 10 years but am only now starting to use it.  I really cannot tell youexactly when I was saved.  I grew up n a Christian home and for a long time trusted in a prayer that I had said when I was 6.  About 2 years ago though I realized that it was not my prayer that saved me, but rather Christ.  When I finally realized that I could never pray, repent, or be sincere enough...that I had to rest in what Jesus did, I surrendered it all to Jesus.  For the first time since I can remember I have peace about my savation.   My husband was just saved in March of this year.  He too grew up in a Christian home and said a prayer when he was 13, but had (as most Baptists would say) back slid.  The truth was he was never saved.  Since then he has changed so much attitude wise.  Please pray for us though as we still struggle with flesh a lot.  My husband still smokes and I have my struggles with being a mother and home maker.  ANYWAY!  Hi all.  I hope to learn a lot and enjoy fellowship with other Christian home makers. I've posted a couple of times, but have not yet formally introduced myelf.

My name is Leisa, and I live in the mountains of East Tennessee. My husband, Scott, and I have been married for 16 glorious years, and we're the very proud parents of 10 children (7 living, 3 in Heaven).

Prior to our 2001 move to Tennessee, we were lifelong Georgia residents, where I was a Special Ed. teacher for 10 years. My husband was a paramedic for Atlanta. He was involved in an accident in 1998 that resulted in the loss of his left leg above the knee, and has been on Social In-Security since. Since that time, life has been a challange, but I wouldn't trade a moment of it for anything in the world.

We are also a home-schooling family, and are staunch Believers.

By way of a prayer request, would you mind remembering my husband in your prayers? He suffers from excruciating phantom pains, and is currently on Morphine. He is scheduled to see a pain specialist on Oct. 2nd to see of there are any available treatment options for him. He is at his wits' end with all of this. Through all of this, he daily reminds himself that God is still good.

Thank you, and God's blessings to you all.

I have been reading and have posted a few times, but I have never officically introduced myself,  as I hate to talk about myself, I will try to do my best at my introduction.

I live in Alberta, Canada.  Have a wonderful loving husband for 15 years now, (he really is my best friend and the best fit for me, a true gift from God) we have 2 beautiful daughters.  Who are very eager learner's when it comes to health, especially anything do with herbs and natural cleaners (for either personal or household).  We are about to embark on learning how to make our own bars of soap.  We just recently got all the supplies and now we are going to attempt to make our own molds.

I homeschool both girls, although the eldest was in the school system for the first 2 years.  We pulled her out at the end of grade one and she is now in grade 9.  We have been schooling them at home since.  I just recently changed the way I school them from a text book form to a way a life kind of teaching.  Most everything is taught by hands on experience now.  They are having more fun learning this way.

I have just recently been "saved".  I put saved in quotation marks because I used to think I was but deep inside of me I always had doubts to my salvation.  It is thanks to Beeyoutiful Girl that I now really understand and know that I am saved, (from one of her posts on 7xSunday).

Eagerly getting to know Jesus

Hi! My name is Katie. I am 25 and the mother of 4 children. And as my title indicates - I am the wife of a railroad man. Glenn has been with the BNSF for 5 years now and it has been fun getting used to living with no schedule - especially for this strict routine gal! We just moved to MO from TX. We homeschool our children, ages 6 girl, 4 boy, 2 boy, and 9mo girl. I read someone elses story that said they kept getting the "our schools are great" thing. I usually get that from all the public school teachers in our Church. Sometimes I wonder what they are thinking....  I am slowly starting to change our eating habits. We are country folks who are temporarily living in town while looking for a farm. (Talk about feeling like a fish out of water!) Our goal is to grow all of our own food. I am also just getting into herbs. I had my last child at home and will NEVER go back to the hospital! We are trying to eliminate all the "drugs" from our life. I usually only get to the computer after the kids go to bed. Some days I just live for 8pm! Am I the only one? I look forward to hearing from some of you! I have learned alot from just skimming this site already! Katie

I'm Trudy, and my friend Heather (aka momto4boys) told me about this forum months ago.  It took me a while to get here, but once I did I bookmarked it for later.

I am a wife to my best friend, the man I wish I'd met earlier in life, but it seems like we've always known each other.  Odd how that happens!  Married since March 2005, we have one beautiful son, Adam, 4 1/2 months.  My 6 children live with us, and we're trying hard to get 4 or 5 of his 6 here, too.  We'll win someday; just don't know when that will be.  I've talked about how I met my dh on that thread.

I've been a SAHM since my first was due, and have never regreted it.  I did have a part-time job for a few short (LONG!) months a year ago, which was fun in a way, but I couldn't do my real job of wife and mommy too well, esp. being pregnant!

I've gone to a midwife with all my children,
  • #1 & 2 born at her place,
#3 at my mom's (where I was living),
#4 at home in the tub before mw arrived,
#5 in the hospital (had been transverse, refused to turn--can you say stubborn?--decided to come into the world feet first!)
#6 again at my mom's (because she had the hot tub!)
and #7 got caught by Daddy in the bathroom less than 30 min after waking me up!

I was homeschooled my senior year after 7 yrs of private school.  Decided then that if I ever had children, they were staying home with me!  (and I wasn't sure I wanted any children!)  My homeschooling style is very much eclectic-unschooling, although I'm sure my dh would prefer a bit more structure, so I'm trying.

My dh is the best of all three types, Command, Visionary, and Steady. He seems to think I suit him perfectly!  I'm certainly glad he thinks so, 'cause I quite agree!  (He never had a chance to get away once I met him!)

My children are chess players, we're in the midst of another soccer season (I coach), doing piano lessons, getting ready to join 4H archery...whew!  It seems like I'm never home long enough to be a "SAHM"  Grin

I spend way too much time on the internet, but most of that time is actually useful  Tongue; I love to take photos of my family (time to buy more albums), and I read whenever and wherever I get the opportunity.

We currently live on 1 acre in Kitsap county Washington, 4 cats and 2 dogs.  We'd love to have more land someday, build our dreamhouse/barn to live in, and be free!  I'd like to have goats again someday.  We're not sure we'll stay in the northwest if we ever move, although my family would kill me if I left!  And possibly my children, too...

We don't eat out too often, and I cook mostly from scratch, but still eat store bread (I keep meaning to have a baking day), and enjoy our ice cream way too often!

We do have tv, but only dh and I watch any shows (NCIS, The Unit, and Lost are must-sees for us!)  And we go through movie-watching phases, esp. when dh is procrastinating on something.  A shared trait, I assure you!

Well, I think I've made this introduction the longest one yet--sorry about that!  I'm going to enjoy reading through different threads, and I'm sure I'll become a frequent poster, when I'm not researching things for my dh.  Looking forward to meeting you all!

Hi ya'll!  It's great to meet everyone.  My name is Theresa.  I am wife to the most amazing Mr. Stable (or Mr. Visionary at times) and the mother of a wonderful little man (6 months).  So far he is it, but we hope and pray for many more Smiley  We are military, so we move around every few yrs.  Currently living in paradise. (picture a smiley w/sunglasses here Smiley )

I enjoy the outdoors, gardening, flowers, cooking, baking, loving and serving my family and learning all I can to do a better job.  I  do mostly cooking from scratch, esp since we have food allergies and I think the best things to eat are.. REAL foods Smiley

My hubby and I both grew up in Christian homes and have been blessed with good church teaching everywhere that we have lived so far.  However, like-minded Titus 2 women have been in short supply the last few years- except from back home.

We learned of NGJ from friends and their ministry to military families.  Then this forum from there.  I am really blessed to find other like-minded Godly women where I can learn so much and feel like I'm not the only one that believes in such things as home educating, healthy living, good home cooking and caring for my family are the greatest needs and best use of my time.  Serving my family as a wife and mother is the HIGHEST calling a women can have and I am blessed that God has called me to such a life Smiley

As a first time mom living on an island in the middle of nowhere this site has been extra helpful to me.  I can't call friends and family all the time to ask questions, and often the answers are already on here.

Our vision is to raise our family to love and serve God.  Our family verses are:
"And these words which I command you today shall be in your heart. You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, when you walk by the way, when you lie down, and when you rise up. You shall bind them as a sign on your hand, and they shall be as frontlets between your eyes. You shall write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates." (Deut 6:6-9)

Ok, I've said enough about me.  Thank you so much for all your wisdom and help in us seeking the truth on how to's, and practical healthy living a Godly life Smiley

Hello to all!

I'm new here, and I've been having the best time on WTM.  It is amazing to me how much I have learned and how much I have in common with you guys!  Most everyone I know thinks I'm crazy.  (Just kidding!) I love the natural approach to life, using creation in practical ways, being in awe of what God has created.   I live in Iowa, born and raised right here.  I have three kids, 10 yo-boy, 6 yo-girl, 2yo-boy.   I am my Husbands help meet, and my children's mother.  I have been married for almost 11 years.  I love playing with recipes, making herbal anything...my family can attest, most of their gifts are of the "herbal creation" variety.

I wanted to thank all of you that have responded to my posts; your thoughts, ideas and advice are priceless!
