I love to read, try new recipes, sew, make quilts, and love reading the posts on this site! There is so much good information here! Smiley

You are my kind of girl, sunflowergirl!!  I LOVE quilting and sewing....actually I've NEVER introduced myself and I've been on here for a couple of months Shocked. Sooo.......

My name is Julie, (not very original with the screen name Wink)  My best friend, Mark, and I have been married 4 years in June.  We have an 18 month old little girl, (Eliana Lorene) and a little boy, (Eli Daniel) due in a week and 3 days (I'm not counting or anything Wink).  I'm a SAHM and I LOVE it!  I'm excited about all the encouragement I've gotten on this website and have been able to implement so many simple changes already....it's been so exciting.

I've recently started doing a little canning, I have a small square-foot garden that already is keeping us up to our ears in tomatoes Cheesy and I love working in the flower beds with my little Ellie, it's amazing how much help a 18 month old can be.  I really enjoy sewing, quilting, & crocheting...though there just doesn't seem to be enough hours in the day to get to those things anymore.  I love the Lord Jesus with all my heart, just.  We go to a church that is open meeting style...we are so blessed!

Hi everyone! (I feel like I know some of you already just from reading soooooo many posts! Tongue )  I have been married for 7 1/2 years to my 95% Mr. Visionary (5% Command) husband.  Life has been fun, he never lets it get boring and I learned early on to just enjoy the ride.  We have a son, Kaden (3) and a daughter, Elliana (2).  They are, and have always been, such little joys!  I am blessed beyond what I ever imagined my life would be, and I have so much still ahead of me.  I am thankful that the Lord will teach those who seek knowledge and wisdom and I am just learning as much as I can from all of you.

(I made my first batch of homemade whole wheat bread today and it turned out great!!!  I'm very proud of myself. Grin

Hi there,

My name is Samantha, and I suppose I feel a little out of place here because I'm 16, with out a husband or children yet. I'm the oldest of four girls, we live in Texas and our family has homeschooled for six or seven years. I love the Lord and am very interested in all the wonderful things He has put on the earth for His children to use, things that are so much better than what we can think of on our own. I play piano and guitar, write stories, study aromatherapy, have a small organic bath product business, and just do things to help my family at home. I love God very much, He's been with me and He picks me up when I fall. I'm looking forward to learning more about natural healing from first-hand experiences, and hopefully being able to bless others a bit with what I've learned.

God bless everyone.

Ok,  I have been on this list for about 3 weeks now, so time to introduce myself.  My name is Kay and I have been married for 9 years.  We have 4 beautiful children so far.  2 girls and 2 boys in that order ranging from ages 3-8 by the end of this month.  Smiley   I found this forum through NGJ magazine which I have been receiving for the past 5 years.  I have read a lot of their materials (as well as Rebekah's Diary) Smiley

We live in Pennsylvania where raw milk is legal at the farm (and even certain health food stores) and we have the toughest (or very close) for homeschooling in the country.  We are about an hour from Philadelphia

I was never into dieting/nutrition or health and about 3 years ago  my SIL was trying to convince me to do the Atkins diet, I said if I ever do a diet it will be one that lines up with the word of God. Debi's Articles about herbs/soy started planting seeds about nutrition and I started researching to find out more, and a few months later "The Maker's Diet" came out.  It lead me to Sally Fallon's Nourishing Traditions (some of her recipes are in the back of the book), blah, blah, blah.

I dont know what else to share, so will close for now!

Hi.  I'm married to healthybratt.  Most of the time I think she's crazy,   Roll Eyes but I think (maybe) I am coming around to some of her new ideas.  I especially like the homemade tortillas, quesadillas, and mexipizza she made the other day.   Shocked  I am still trying to get used to having a wife who smells like a pickle when she gets out of the shower, but I like to think I'm pretty easy going and whatever makes her happy, keeps me sane.   Wink

I'm a technician for Hormel Foods and healthy or not we like SPAM.  I'm not a health nut, but I am pretty nuts most of the time.  Anyone would have to be to marry my wife.   Grin  But she keeps my life from being boring.  I also have 3 crazy children (they get it from their mom) and I'm loving every minute of it.

I'm pretty busy working most of the time and what little time I have left over, I'm busy working on the house or playing with my family, so I probably won't post often, but I enjoyed reading a couple of the threads especially the one about Super Healthy Men.  Little Debby was my first love, but I had to give her up for the one I adore.

Nice to Meet You.

Hi! My name is Cassandra and I am 22 and married to Matthew Lonestar (22) who is honestly the best person I know! I have changed so much relationally by just watching him! We have a 6 month old baby boy named Caleb Matthew and he is so fun! We have worked hard with him to teach him contentment and happiness even at this young age. Everyone tells us we are "lucky" but we know different Smiley. Also having a happy atmosphere free of sarcasm, vulgar talk and even playful rudeness makes a difference in our children!

We live in Northern California (love the weather not the state). Our little town is considered conservative and small but I am still amazed by the worldliness around me! Anyways!

I love arts and crafts! Anything creative! I know a little bit about a lot of stuff but am no expert at any ONE thing.

I want to homeschool eventually! And we are open to many more children.
Oh infact I'm prego again! The babies will be 13 months apart! Beat that ladies! Smiley hehe

I think that is about it for now! I'm glad to be here and am excited about learning more!

Hello All,
My name is Mona and I have been learning so much and having so much fun with this forum.  This is my first time going to a forum and being a part of one.  I learned about the site from NGJ.    I am a first time homeschooler.  My boys are 11 and 9 and my baby girl is 21 mos.  We are a military family stationed in Okinawa, Japan so it is about 9:30 in the morning here.  My husband is the most amazing, handsome and wise man in the world.  Well, we think so anyway.  I am blessed beyond belief and happily enjoying Okinawa and all it's challenges.  I am completely new to most everything healthy and natural but I have a strong desire to learn to take care of Us better.  Maybe the Okinawan lifestyle will rub off on us.  I heard that they live longer than any other people on the planet.  I need to find out what it is.....Smiley

Hi Lisa, and everyone else,
My kids are twins! Twins were hard mostly cause I didn't put them on a schedule and I made myself crazy for a while.  But when they got about 6 months old and start interacting more with each other it was like built in entertainment. I was there for meals and diaper changes...well probably alot more , I just felt like the meal factory! They are so much fun I wish I could do it over and over and over.
The time races by so fast. Man I sound old.!

My name is Heather and I live in northern Minnesota.  I'm 25 years old and have been married to my wonderful husband for four years now.  We do not have any children yet, but we are praying and preparing ourselves in hopes that we will be blessed with a quiver full in the coming years!  Smiley

I'm very exited to have found this forum - I've been learning a tremendous amount just in the week or so since I discovered it.  It's challenging and quite overwhelming to take on this health conscious, natural lifestyle, but my husband and I are both excited about gradually doing little things to improve.

I have to say that I owe most of the changes in our lives and thinking have been as a result of the Pearls and their teaching.  We have been so blessed by reading their materials, and especially by "Created to Be His Help Meet."  I also got interested in herbs by reading the articles in the "No Greater Joy" magazine, and while this area in particular is very overwhelming for me, I'm slowly gaining confidence and adding to my knowledge.

Most of our friends are not nearly as interested in this lifestyle as we are.  I sometimes think they would rather live in ignorance.  I am very thankful for the support I already feel from this group of likeminded, God-fearing folk.  I look forward to learning more and more!

Hello.  I have been skimming this site for a bit now so thought I better introduce myself.

My name is Margo, I am 33 and have been a believer since childhood.  I have been married to my best friend, Brandon, for 13 years.  We have four daughters ages almost 9, 6, 2, and 3 months.  They all have the initals SMF thus my user name.

We have homeschooled always (at hubbys suggestions), homebirthed our last blessing, are embracing Biblical roles in our family, and are trying to change to a more natural/healthy lifestyle.  This has gone against the grain of our families but has been such a blessing to us!  Although us getting rid of our TV  Shocked has raised the most eyebrows and gotten the most discussion (even to the point of my father in law offereing us a couple TVs over the years).

I enjoy reading, living simply, dabbling in cross-stitch and plastic canvas crafts, and am learning to sew.  I look forward to learning from this site and enjoying the fellowship!

I have been lurking on this site for a while.  I normally don't post on discussion boards.  So, I may be asking just a few questions.  However, I wanted to introduce myself.

I found this site through the NGJ website.  My friend gave me the TTUAC book and I LOVED IT!  It had the answers I had been looking for.  I am a work in progress.

My name is Ayana and I am the helpmeet of Chris.  We have 4 children: 7yog, 5yog, 3yog and 1yob.

I look forward to learning a lot from all of you!

Hi everybody!  Its about time I introduced myself.  My name is Misty.  I am 26 years old and married to the most wonderful man!  We have been married four years last April.  We have two precious daughters.  Rosy is 2 1/2.  She is our redhead little ball of energy!  Gracie is 1 1/2.  She was a little preemie (7 months, 3 lbs, 9 0z.)  She finally hit the 20 lb mark last week, yea!  Gracie is also blind.

I lived in Mexico for 13 years.  I first went with my parents, obviously.  I met and married Nathan down there.  He went just out of high-school, planning on staying for a month.  Six year later..... we just moved back to his hometown in CO.  Culture shock is not as bad as it could have been since we are in a little town of 500.

Right now we are in an apartment (the only ones in the whole building)  Our goal is to have LAND!  We are saving to buy a mobile home and to dig a well on some of his dad's land. For a while we will just have the 2 acre house site while the 360 acres are being rented out.  Eventually we want to be able to use all of the land to support ourself.

Hi everyone. My name is Karina Zehr. I am a mother of one child(i know tough right?), and only been married for 15 months. I currenlty live in Indiana waiting for God to call us somewhere else...hahaha...I got into natural living back when i was 19. I started dealing with anxiety and depression real bad but got on Zolfot and it didn't domuch for me. So i decided to research it and came upon all this information about natural living, herbs, and just living simply. My sister is also into the natural way of life. But i think she does it out of fear lol. Anyways, my husband totally supports me in this endeavor but won't try any remedies i suggest for him. oh well...I'm glad i came into this website. I'm comfortable already and i don't even know you guys  Smiley

Hi All,

I am new here (obviously!) so just wanted to give a intro.  My name is Jacque (aka "RunAmokFarm") and I am the totally IN LOVE wife of Dan *sigh* and also mother of 3 really awesome (but very active) children.   Wink

We live on a small hobby farm, we homeschool our kids, raise Miniature Australian Shepherd puppies, rabbits, on occasion goats as well.  I have been studying nutrition, herbs, essential oils for almost 12 years now.

I am so glad to have found WellTellMe as I have been having some struggles with... Well, I tried to think of a way to sugar-coat it, but there isn't one... I have a serious lack of discipline!

Reading through the posts, I have found encouragement (in other words "a kick in the hind-end" - LOL) in several areas already and even  jumped back on the "low-carb wagon" that I had fallen off of a few months back - LOL

In any case, it is great to find a place to encourage and be encouraged!

I am a 32 year old (I think - who can remember with all these kids around) mother of 5 beautiful children.  We have a 7, 6, 4, 3, and 1 year old.  I feel so at home here becasue I don't get looked at like I have three heads.  Who else out there is tired of being asked "Are they all yours?" or "Do you run a day care?" or my personal favorites "Are you missionaries?"  or "Are you done yet?"  We homechool our four boys and one little girl and we love it.  Most of the time anyway.  We live in North Carolina and we would not move for a milion dollars. Unless the Lord leads us.  My husband is in the Army Reserve so that is a prayer request.  He spent all of 2004 overseas in Kuwait.  Never stepped foot in Iraq thank goodness.  He still expects to go over at least one more time before he retires.  We are committed to healthy living, but it is a new thing. I have a lot of medical problems that run in my family (lupus, diabetes and other genetic things.)  I have spent my whole life around doctors and hospitals.  I have come to believe that we bring a lot of these medical issues on ourselves through bad habits.  I would like to be around for my children as they get older.  I am committed to a better, healthier way of life and so is my husband.  Both our fathers have had heart problems this year and you would not believe the things doctors say now a days. I know the Lord has great things in store for our family and I am looking forward to getting to know some of you and researching healthy living together.  This is my first time at something like this.  Please pray I don't spend too much time at the computer.  You all know what a temptation it can be.  Also be praying for me as I have started writing a book about my journey to have a victorious christian life.  I pray for all the ladies on this site everday that we all would come to live happy, healthier lives for Christ.

I am trying to break free from soda/pop.    I also desire to have less refined sugar and more herbs.

My husband has IBS and I want to cook in a way that helps him instead of hindering him.  We no longer vaccinate our kids nor do we really ever go to the doctor though we will tomorrow becasue i think my husband broke his ankle today ! ouch Smiley

Hi!  My name is Dawn.  I am a 35 yr old mother of 4 (unless the good Lord sees fit to bless us with more) from North Dakota.  Ashley is almost 12, Veronica is 10, Ethan is 7 1/2 and Moriah Grace is 5 months old.  I am married to Kelly, a 37 yr old Mr. Steady with Visionary tendencies.  We have been married for 13 years, the 2 last have been the best by far since we both decided to walk in obedience and love each other the way the Bible teaches us to.  (the Pearl's resources have been a huge help also!)

We will soon embark on our third year of homeschooling, which we find very exciting!  I think I learn way more each year than my children do!!

We are also VERY new to natural health.  But I am having a lot of fun learning.  I have already learned a lot since I started browsing here a few weeks ago.  Right now we are in the middle of a HUGE gardening project!  My husband said if we were going to do it we might as well do it big.  He wasn't kidding!  But it certainly will be nice not to have to buy it at the store.

Anyway, just wanted to introduce myself.  And say "Thank You" to everyone for their willingness to share their knowledge!  May the Lord bless each and everyone of you!!

Hi everyone!!  Nice to meet you!!  My name is Robin- I've been married 16 years (this month) to my sweetheart, Gary, and we have 5 beautiful blessings (Moriah Joy, Cortland Jon, Madeline Celia, Hunter Atle, and Brinn Laura)  Whew- sorry for the long intro, but I LOVE hearing children's names!! We homeschool, too.  I can't think of many things I DON'T like to do Smiley but I enjoy sewing, cooking, inventing recipes, crafting, running, strength training, taking walks, playing with the chitlin's, making home remedies, reading and finding out as much as I can about health/herbs and how to better care for my family.  I am also a big fan o' the Pearl family and NGJ Ministries.  I have been enjoying perusing the wealth of information all of you on this site have so graciously been sharing.  Thank you for that!!  It will be fun to "get to know" you guys, as this is actually my first venture into the world of joining a forum!  Yippee!!  This will be a fun adventure- thank you for starting this forum up and allowing me to join you.    Blessings!! -Robin  Kiss

I'm Jaci....a SAHM mom to three boys ages 3, 2 and 6 weeks.  My husband is a rancher/cattle feeder.  I have just recently been interested in living a more healthy lifestyle.  We don't live THAT unhealthily but I know there are changes we could make.
I guess I don't know what else to say.  I look forward to joining in here.

Hi,
I think I may be lost in websiteland.  I just joined welltellme (7-11-06)  and I'm not sure what I'm doing.  I'm probably leaving this message in the wrong spot and it'll never be found.
I joined because I've been recently burdened to eat and live healthier.  Particularly every time the latest NGJ mag. arrives.  Smiley  My big question is where do we start???  I grew a small herb garden this year,  but the herbs are nothing signifcant.  Other than that, we've started to eliminate processed foods and eat and 'medicate' more naturally.
I have a wonderful husband and two boys, almost 2 1/2 and 7 months.  We live in the 'Thumb' of Michigan.  (confused?, grab a map and you'll get it Smiley ).
Thanks for your work on this site and for Gods people.  Looking forward to learning more and getting to know you all (my teachers Smiley )

Okay, I am going to try to do this.  Hello everyone!  I am new here and am already looking forward to learning about and from all of you.  I am Deanna, a 34 year old wife for 16 years and mom of 4 boys, ages 16,14,11 and 8 years.   I stay at home and homeschool.  I have been for about 6 years now.  Our oldest son is disabled with a disorder called Apraxia.  We have slowly been pulling away from the things of this world and wanting to live a more Godly and Natural life.  I am praying that I learn more and more how to take care of my family.  Oh, we live in Southern Louisiana but are praying for a move to Arkansas or Missiouri sometime this year if it is the Lord's will. Praying for work that my husband can be less stressed and we can have land to live off of. Smiley   Well, I guess that is it for my intro.  Blessings and Peace, D

Well, I finally joined.  After a couple weeks of reading posts, and considering joining in, I finally did.  I'm Sharon.  I started dating my husband 13 years ago.  Wow! I can't believe it has been that long!  I am really that old? Shocked  I must be, because we have been married 9 years, and have 5 children; 2 girls and 3 boys ranging in ages from 8 years to 2 years.  And then there are 4 cats, 3 dogs and a mini-horse.

Have a great day!

Sharon

Hello, I joined yesterday and didn't realize that it was proper to introduce myself.  Please forgive me!  ARmom stands for Arkansas mom.  I was born and raised here and except for a stent in Mississippi and Tennessee I have always lived here.  The real name is Pam.  My husband is a pastor and we have 4 WONDERFUL children which we homeschool.  We have been married for17 years, and are late bloomers in alot of areas.  But God is GOOD and has blessed us greatly.  I came to this site after reading Rebecca's latest article in NGJ.  I''m glad I did.  So far I've enjoyed what I've read. I need to be better informed on some of these topics.  Looking forward to the ride.
              God Bless You All,
               Pam
