http://www.fellowshipdirectory.com/

This is a directory of like-minded believers. You input your location information and a list of other families within a certain mile radius pops up. We've really enjoyed our directory as it has put us in touch with other families that we can relax around. We go camping together once or twice a year.

Funny story: We have some head covering, some quiver full and some whatever families. During one camping trip at a state park, we sat around the camp fire one night and sang kid's Bible songs. The next day, someone in our group wondered if other campers might have thought we were some sort of weird cult with lots of kids  Cheesy. The funniest thing I think I heard all weekend was when another couple was talking to my brother (who has 7 kids with #8 on the way), "We only have five." LOL!

Thanks for the list.  I wish I'd have found it sooner.  I knew some of them.  The one that strikes me as funny, though, is ANON.  Wouldn't it be just as easy to type soon?   Grin

When someone sees or knows of a thread which has gone to the bottom because there haven't been replies to it, they will simply make a post on it to "Bump" it to the top. If they don't have anything they want to say, but they want to have it back on the main list so ppl will answer, they will just type BUMP!!  Wink

OK- I know what head covering and some whatever families would mean,..... but quiver full? I've never understood it, even though I've seen it other places. Could you explain  please?
Thanks so much

From what i understand, quiverfull means you use no birth control, but allow God to plan your family. There may be varying convictions on that. For example, some might use nothing while the next might feel it's o.k. to know your body and abstain over certain times of the month. The phrase comes from Psalm 127:5. "Happy is the man who has his quiver full of them."

It can also be used to simply mean, "lot of children."  It doesn't have to have the birth control implications, though it often does.

I know women with nine-twelve kids.  You might say that they have a full quiver-even though they did use birth control between some of their kids.  Some people start using it with 4-5 kids.  It varies.

Could someone please give some translations for all of these abbreviated "web terms"?  I'm apparently not a computer geek (at least not full fledged) and am getting tired of being stumped by a series of capital letters that mean nothing to me.   Huh

I know a few such as

LOL - lots of laughs

and the DH - dear husband, son, etc. are fairly obvious.  But there's been so many times that I'm stuck guessing what somebody meant.   Would someone please have pity on me and list what you know??

Thanks a bunch in advance!! Cheesy
