Beyond all the practical things I have learned here, WTM has been a place for me to let my family and friends know about the continuing health changes for our son.  I have been able to post here and then also introduce them to some of the other things I have learned so they can investigate for themselves - and probably learn more things than I have figured out here.

Thanks for this other benefit - one I am sure you never intended - but one I am very greatful for.  I have friends that I have never met praying for my son whom they may never meet in life.  It has made a difference.

Hey you ain't the only one!  Wink I am born and raised a  bonafide hoosier and I'm still here.   Smiley

I also want to thank WTM and those who keep it going and started it. It has greatly helped me dig much deeper into natural healing and has helped open up a more educated herbal world to learn from.

I just wanted to renew this thread, because WTM blesses me in so many ways each day.

Today was an example of a time when I was faced with a need greater than I had the time or resources to address.

I was at the health food store and came around the aisle just in time to hear a woman wonder out loud about which sweetener would have the lowest blood sugar impact and fewest toxins. I was able to tell her what we use as I was purchasing some at the time. In the course of the conversation, she shared with me some of her health concerns, the changes she is trying to make, and the struggle with anger & frustration that comes as the realization of what things are actually in the products we call food. My heart was so touched as I saw this incredible, beautiful, vibrant woman fighting for her health and her life, standing there in the middle of the health food store, needing so much information. . .

Of course, we talked about her concerns, different foods, Nourishing Traditions, etc. But the BEST THING about my visit with her is that I didn't have to leave her swimming in more information than she could remember. Because of WTM, I was able to leave her with this web site address. I was able to brag on all of you and the good, kind work you do every day sharing your discoveries, your struggles and your accomplishments. I was able to walk away knowing that in coming here, she would be loved, accepted, and fed information that would help decide what was best for her in her circumstance.

So many people have sacrificed so much to make this forum available. The owners and staff have labored, never asking anything of the rest of us but that we share our knowledge.

If you've ever been blessed by this site, please take the time to pray that God will continue to supply whatever needs there might be to keep it up and running. I don't have to see a financial statement to know that in addition to the time investment, there must be expenses associated with maintaining the site, keeping it online, etc. WTM is like no other site I've visited, and I pray that it will continue to be a valuable resource to us all.

As that dear lady walked away from me in the store, I was just so very thankful that I was able to recommend all of you to her. Thanks, WTM for changing lives each day.

SC- You just wrote the contents of my heart and WTM.  I have probably given the site out 25-30 times.  This morning I wrote it on the back of a BHS catalog I was giving away.
I often wish that I had WTM business cards to hand out!

Second that! There are so many people I tell about this site! I just hope they visit!

And SC, that was a beautiful post and exactly how I feel about this site. It is amazing to me that women can be anywhere (such as the health food store) and be in need and another women near by can reach out and help (this would be you SC!). I think that is the thing I am most thankful for about WTM, is that you ladies are right here, able and willing to reach out and help at a moments notice when I (and others) need it most. So again, thank you from the bottom of my heart!  Kiss

I agree with that. I have thought about writing the WTM site address down on a few strips of paper to keep in my purse so when I get to  talking to someone about it I can hand it to them because I know that if I just tell them the addy they most likely will forget it just as I would.

It seems like sometimes ppl tend to think that those who use herbs and make tinctures and stuff are deep into paganism because that religion also uses herbal stuff and has a reputation for that. So there is a missunderstanding out there about the use of natural healing methods that needs to be corrected. Most of the ppl around me are Christians so when I tell them about WTM I tell them that it is not a pagan site and that I have noticed there seems to be lots of other Christians on the site but I'm sure anyone is welcome to come  and learn. Once they hear that it helps some I think.

I was telling my hubby just this weekend how much this site has blessed me, and how much I've learned from the folks here. More than I learned in college - and much more useful information!!!

It's nice to have this community to come to w/o having to explain why we homeschool, why we make our own bread, why we drink kombucha, why we use coconut oil, why we drink REAL milk, why we use natural remedies, etc., etc., etc!

I downloaded all of the Back to Basics podcasts and put them our on generic (ie, cheap-o) mp3 player. My daughter is soaking them up too. *Happy sigh!*

I want to thank all the people who keep this site going, too.  I often thank the members, but you all (owners, moderators) are the real reason we connect...I had a 26 yr. case of eczema that was solved through people on WTM...hallelujah!  Now I'm going to have a totally different PG/delivery b/c of the way I've gotten healthier...And the friends made...this site has been such of a blessing.

I'd like to thank everyone as well.  The effect this forum has had on our family is tremendous.  Just 18 months ago, my husband's favorite snack was a Little Debbie.  Just last night he was preaching the evils of vaccinations and candida to one of his "uninformed" buddies.    Shocked

We've come a long way.   Grin

Not to mention, without all of you, I wouldn't have a job.  Grin  I appreciate all of you very much.  Kiss

Recently, there has been a lot of thanks to the people who keep WTM running, and of course we are always grateful for them. (We love you, HB)  BUT they are not the only ones who deserves the thanks.  WTM would be what it is without so many wonderful members.  I thought that it would be good to have a place to thank the specific WTM members who have been a blessing to you.  I’ll go first.

SarahK & SC:  Even though I have never met  either of you, I consider you both as some of the “older” women that God has placed in my life. (Not old, just older than me!) Y’all remind me to have a Godly attitude, submissive spirit, and to seek to please the Lord in all I do.  Thanks for your positive influence in my life.

Floydian & HiO: You always have a way of making us smile, and making the world seem brighter.  Y’all are so likable. Thanks

Emily Jean & Yooper:   It is away encouraging to know that you two are regularly praying for us and our needs.  The prayers of a righteous man availeth  much.  Thanks

Herbalmom; No matter what crazy problem we WTMers come up with, you always have some practical advice for us.  You are a wealth of knowledge. Thanks

This is just a partial list, but I wanted to get this thread running.  Come on and add your own thanks.

Oh my there are too many to list!  Smiley

I am bad at remembering names so I don't want to name names for fear that I will leave some out and hurt some feelings or make others feel as if their posts and contributions have not been important, but their posts ( even if I forget their names) have been very important to me and I am thankful for them.  Wink  I am very thankful for all the help I have received.

Often times when I am harvesting some herbs or wild cherries ( you know who you are! LOL ) I think of the ppl on WTM that left posts teaching what those things are and I ask God to bless them.I am especially grateful for the ppl  on the below thread link . They have given me advice/info on what these herbs are which has opened a world of possiblities to me and my continuing research on the plant life on my land.    THANK YOU!

Here is the thread I am talking about :

I am SO THRILLED to read all of your posts on this thread up to mine now. Every beautiful thing spoken of each person is TRUTH and all the sentiments are mine as well. I have been wondering how to best show gratitude and thankfulness for the friendships and wealth of information found on WTM and  7Xsunday and U.E. ... this is an amazing miracle we are all a part of and enjoying  right now. This is about LIFE, it is pro-LIFE, and is bearing the fruit of LIFE. I don't take any of you for granted, and I find myself stretching and growing (again) in my capacity to learn, to research, to share, and to reach out. Teach us your WAY, Lord. Part of this miracle, I think is how God is using all of this to create a spirit of intercession and prayer-thoughts among His people. Genuine care and concern comes straight from The Father's heart through Him Who ever lives to make intercession for the Saints. May The Holy Spirit fill each house, each life, each day as we connect in ways big and small. May we come to shine as a beacon of LIGHT in this time. Thank you Jesus, that You are TRUTH, You are THE WAY, You are LIGHT, You are LIFE! Thank You for blessing this venture, and those involved, and the work of their hands upon them.  Grin THANK YOU ALL for all that you do, and for allowing The Lord to work in you and through you!

My first post was made in 8-2006.  In under 2 years I have:

- reduced household Coke consumption by 85%+ percent. Learn How!
- cut laundry & hair care costs to pennies!  Learn how Here and Here!
- taught my kids to chew weeds and spit them on their crying siblings when stung by an insect. Learn Why!
- assigned children to harvest 4+ different weeds from the yard.
- made my own simple salves that ACTUALLY WORK! Here!
- cured raging pink eye with stuff in the fridge. Learn How!
- fed my children 'live' foods with few complaints.
- made gallons of kombucha and yogurt at a fraction of the retail cost.
- started an herbal course
- written "www.WellTellMe.com Search "No Poo" on the back of many different receipts.
- influenced someone to put soap on their toothbrush.
- given "Green Grease" as a gift to many family and friends (and they even use it!)
- referred a whole mess of people to WellTellMe and bogged down the server...

Hey Misty,
The more you "browse" the more WTM will infest your home Cheesy  Slowly you will become as odd as me - and then instead of you emailing me to find out how to treat things, everyone will be emailing you with their own questions.  Just be prepared to be horrified by people's grocery carts, people going to the doctor for antibiotics, the idea of what yeast and parasites are doing inside your body, the cost of cleaners you can make yourself for pennies on the dollar, etc...  I'm so glad you finally joined us, dear friend of mine  Kiss Kiss Kiss

Thanks SaraK-----I can totally agree with your list and add
-homemade lotion
-gallons of Kefir
--tons of knowledge that I am waiting to use

I also need to post of the book site but thought I could squeeze it in here without HB getting too upset   Wink    The new book recommended by Deb Pearl called Cancer  Step Outside the Box is really good.  It reinforces all the stuff we are learning on this site.
