I've been using it, too, and it works well. I put lip balm or something like that on my lips sometime to keep them from getting burned! If you stir it in and drink it with plenty of water, that helps, too.

Can somebody help me figure this stuff out? Is orgeno oil the same as oregano essential oil? The essential oil from Beeyoutiful is not recommended for internal use. (at least, this is according to the person I spoke with from MoreThanAlive--but it doesn't say anything about this in the Beeyoutiful catalog). If it's not the same thing, could I just make an extract using the oregano herb? Would it work the same, just maybe a larger dose?

I have bought the oregano oil from wonwithnature (on ebay) and we use it for many little problems- a pain here, an ache there, a wart here, a bite there ,

when I bought it from wonwithnature they sent me a report of 101 uses for orgegano oil so it is obviously worth trying on anything. i

Oh I did use it directly on a tooth infection before. it burned like fire for a bit at every application but it kept me from needing an antibiotic. Even the dentist was impressed

wonwithnature's has a high amount of carvacol (msp) which is supposed to make it more potent. It is diluted with olive oil so it is not straight oregano.

it was a good price too.

answers some nursing questions.

I use the softgels...they are so tiny, I can get one of my children to swallow it. The others, I pierce it w/ a needle and squeeze it into juice. I get a little on my hands/mouth swallowing the remaining bit and the sensation passes w/i minutes--I wouldn't call it a burn.

I see it for about $20-$21 on Vitacost, UNFI (food buying club), and iHerb (60 softgels).

It seems to be making short work of suspected swine flu here.

I got through my first bottle of Oil of Oregano (took about a year) and ordered another one, I had to post that my new one is so much better for two reasons, both are NOW brand but the first one ($13)was full strength and did not have a dropper. It burned easily and was uncomfortable to take, I had to dilute it in a couple of teaspoons of olive oil and drink it fast, then wash it down. I didn't even ask my kids to take it. Without a dropper getting those little drops of fire under the tongue was pretty much impossible. I got the NOW brand from LuckyVitamin.com and it is diluted with olive oil. It was only $10 but obviously is not as strong, but you can put a couple of drops under the tongue and swallow them with no burn at all. Very effective and very simple!

I bought mine from www.beeyoutiful.com. I bought the full strength bottle and used a seperate tincture bottle and filled it 1/3 full of oregano oil and 2/3 full with olive oil. I shack and swish with the dropper before each use. Then it is already mixed and easy to put drops under the tongue.
Oil of Oregano helped my son fight secondary pnuemonia. I am using it now to help fight off any infection my baby goat might get from her disbudding. We'll see if it works.
