Sharp pain after sneezing

If someone experiences pain after sneezing, what is that a sign of? The pain is usually sharp/shooting, sometimes throbbing. It's usually in the chest & goes down the arms, lasting for a few seconds after the sneeze to sometimes a minute or so. I've looked up this symptom on the internet, didn't find much...some think maybe it's a sign of high blood pressure....some think it's something wrong with the back. Either or both could be the case here. Do you all have any idea what this could be? Anyone experience it themselves?

My husband gets this occasionally. It does happen more frequently when his blood pressure is high, but it seems to be mostly related to back alignment. It comes and goes for him, it happened a lot a few years ago, then it just went away. Diet does seem to make somewhat of a difference, mostly because he sneezes more when he eats refined carbs and not much protein (this also makes his blood pressure higher). Sorry to not be more help!
