  Easywater No-Salt Water Conditioning Systems
« on: December 04, 2008, 01:21:09 PM » by cecac
Hello everyone,

My dad purchased an Easywater for our property about 2-3 weeks ago.  We have two homes on almost three acres in the Hill Country of Texas. We are pumping water for our property from Glenrose.  Our well pump is about 500 feet down.

My joke is that I should write a book detailing the history of the Hill Country just going off of the water you pump in your area.   Tongue  The water stinks, literally.  It is pure rock, literally.  No matter how much bleach, soap, etc, I pour into loads of laundry, my famiy's underclothes are, well, a wonderful beige.  It's a good thing I like beige undies. Cheesy

Most if not all of the cleaning recipes I get off this site will not work with our water.

We drink it, and I've had digestional issues (rather forceful  Wink) as has dd10.

Okay, so the new system seems to be beginning to help.  I thought I'd release the info and see if anyone else is having success with this.  Also, some may want to give it a try.  There is a money back guarantee on it.

So far, we can cook our beans in this water, drink it with no digestional issues, and use less cleaning agents in the dishwasher.  It is supposed to clean out the rock from pipes.  According to my (very) limited understanding of science, the system works on the molecular level and causes the minerals to be unable to bind to anything.

Not to be a grinch - but I question this system myself. My husband is into water filtration and has a brother in law who bought a system like this.  Anyway, that was a year ago - when we were there for Thanksgiving my husband tested their water for hardness and it was still 14 grains hard. I know they say that the hardness is not sticking to the pipes but their was hard water spots all over the outside of the pipes.  It would be interesting to talk to someone who is happy with theirs because we are not the kind of people who feel like only what they sell is the right thing, but my husband did question it.

Thank you for the heads up.

I should have said that I will come in with both pros and cons, because I will. Smiley

I am thinking (again, not very scientifically here) that the mineral count will not change, as the minerals aren't removed.  They just can't bind to anything is my understanding.

It appears, in the case of our beans cooking, that it is true.  However, I'm with you that it bears much more "trying out" to be able to see if this is really a beneficial product.

have you noticed any difference in your laundry?  Can you use less soap?

Is hardness Ph? I recently tested the water's Ph (I'm Cara's daughter.) and found that it had dropped from 7.6 to neutral, or 7.0. (My fish are appreciative, I'm sure. Grin)  I thought that this meant the hardness had gone down? Huh Maybe I'm confused. Cheesy

Thanks for clarifying;

I don't think so - because my husband told me that he has already tested water that has a hardness of 14 grains (which is hard) and the ph was balanced - 7.5.
Like I said, I just question such systems and would like to be enlightened. How do you know that it is working if the minerals are all stillh there - where is there proof it is doing anything. And if the minerals are all still there will they go through your system like regular hard water and still give you kidney stones etc. or will they not stick? Would be interesting to know.

OK, thanks; I understand now. Smiley

Supposedly the minerals are still there, but their molecular structure has been changed to where they don't stick. Like you, I'm still not a believer. Wink So far though, it's been pretty good. Our dishwasher seems to be doing better. We're using a little bit of a product called Lemishine along with regular soap. The Lemishine is now working, and it wasn't before, so something's changed!
