Donation Fund for the family of Sparkys9

Okay, I have gotten permission from Gabe and Beka to do this.  We are starting a fund for Sparkys9 family.  For those of you who may not have read the prayer request thread, Sparkys9 family's house burned down about 3 am Saturday morning.  Everything is lost.  They have 8 children ranging in the age  from 16 years to 8 months old.  They did not have home owners insurance, and were already strapped financially, so they have no $ to build a new home.  I have received several emails from wtm'ers wishing to help out.  So this is our solution.  They have already been given a lot of clothes, so right now the biggest need is food and $ to rebuild.  For those of you who would like to donate, you can click on the link bellow and it will take you to paypal.  If you would like to donate by check please send me a pm and I will give you an address to send it to.  Also, they homeschooled and all you other homeschoolers know very well how much it can cost to homeschool, especially when you have 7 to teach, and buy curriculum for.  She's going to give me a list of what she needs and I'm going to post that on the buy/sale/trade thread if anyone just so happens to have it and willing to part with it.  Amy wishes me to pass on her thanks and gratitude for your prayers and support.
thanks, Sarah

As far as I know the post office should still be doing that $8 per a box thing ( it started out as $8). It is where you could go to the post office and get a special box were you can stuff it full and only pay $8 to send it anywhere in America no matter what it weighs.

This might help save money for anyone wanting to send stuff. I believe they are called flat rate boxes and their prices are now up to $9 and $10.

But considering how costly sending items are the flat rate boxes might be helpful.

Check first if it would be cheaper for book rate.  It might be slower, but could be considerably cheaper.

This list seems kinda small...is there anything else she could use? I have a ton of Abeka stuff, some Christian Liberty Press readers, Saxon Math DIVE CD's + textbooks, science stuff....I have a lot of stuff that I could part with.

I will try to go thru some of my stuff this week, and will PM you to see what she could use, specifically......

Also--not sure, but could the gender & ages of the children be posted? My kids are very motivated to send stuff to Sparkys9 children, so we are wondering what we could send. Thank you Kiss.

(should not be looking here, she thinks to herself Shocked!)
It is a small list. Someone is donating Robinson Curriculum, but I am totally curriculum dependent in math and addicted to Math-u-See! Also, I just really like the way the Easy Grammar is presented.
If anyone did have Primary or Intermediate Language Lessons by Emma Serl, those would be great too.
As for the dc, ds-17yo, dd-15yo,dd-14yo,ds-12,ds-10,dd-7,dd-5,dd-9mo.
Also, I started the blog today. It's All 4 Jesus-it's on Blogger.
Thanks so much for all the prayers and donations, God is ever faithful!

I just saw this. Undecided Can you tell I've been busy?
We are doing well. The Lord is teaching us so much right now. I am learning how to trust, really trust Him.
The new house is now completely framed. We are hoping to work on the roof this week, and finish up with the house wrap and windows, doors, etc. so we can get the siding on.
Robert (DH) graduated from college on the 23rd of May. He will be starting a new job either this or next week.
We are looking for a new church home b/c the one we had been attending closed  Cry.
Life is so full of changes. He alone remains the same. Praise His holy name.
Amy

PS- If anyone's interested, you can check out the blog. It's http://10forhim.blogspot.com.
Still no pictures though. Undecided
