  Cleansing for Beginners
« on: January 28, 2009, 08:45:26 AM » by mamatomany
My sister is looking for a cleanse (tea or supplement).  She is not a "natural" kind of gal.  She is overweight (probably 50 lbs.) and does not have regular B.M.'s at all.  Any suggestions?

I need to do some cleansing and am so clueless!  Can anyone help me figure this out.  There are tons off different cleanses.  What I want to do is just detoxify (Dh too!) and I'd like to get started cause you're supposed to cleanse 6 months b4 ttc so if we don't get mercury fillings out, we'd like to have another baby in the near futurish so the sooner I can get these cleanses done the sooner I can start building up nutrient stores for conception.  I guess cleansing really depletes your body of nutrients, especially fat soluable vitamins.  I looked at the dr. schultz but they are expensive! If they're worth it/better than a less expensive option then I would consider purchasing.  I'm also considering the Pure Body Institute because an herbalist Shonda Parker that I trust recommend them.  Prices are good, too.

Cleansing/fasting, per a study done by the magazine Natural Health showed effective reduction in heavy metal content of the body as well as increase in good bacteria in the gut after a month-long cleanse with vegetarian diet (the Pure Body Program from The Pure Body Institute performed best of all of the cleanses).

The best medical authors recommend my product including such luminaries as Dr. Sherry Rogers, Dr. Doris Rapp, Dr. Larry Clapp, Dr. Jeff McCombs, Dr. Elson Hass, Shonda Parker and more.

Also, I NEED to know if it's okay to do the cleanse you recommend/above with  mercury fillings?  I'm thinking I should wean if I do something like this?  Do not want to but may need too.  Sad   If you have any thoughts recommendations I would be happy to hear from you!

How much is your health worth to you?

This cleanse really works.  Worth every cent we scraped together to pay for it.

BHS has come up with a clone for formula #2 (but not the fiber formula #1 so you'll have to find one of those yourself.  I don't have a recommendation, because I had some #1 left over from my first cleanse that I used with the Detox +)

Soooo, I think I have an/many ovarian cyst(s). I have tremendous pain in my left ovary at the start of my cycle and around ovulation. I'm checking out some tinctures that a few recommended to me here on WTM, but I was also thinking about cleansing. Where's the best place to start? Or, what's the first organ to start with?
Thanks!

Read reply #1 on this thread.  The 5 day bowel detox from Dr Schultz really is the very best available and the best place to start.  There are several people on this forum who make his products.

By "make his products," do you mean that they just gather the appropriate herbs that make up his formulas?

Basically, yes, he taught that the best way to take herbs is to make them yourself from the best ingredients you can get.  Then you know what is in them and you can adjust if necessary.  If you look at other posts from you, you will find links to his formulas as well as people that make them and sell them for much less than his website.  I am overdue for bed, or I would look them up again...but they are there.

The best teachers are the ones that have actually been in clinical practice and are willing to freely share what they have learned....and imo  Dr. Schulze was one such man.....and there are not many out there that have actually worked extensively with patients and knows what works.
