Login [Logout] Issues: Questions & Answers

Hello,

I was wondering why I have to log in each time I load WellTellMe page? I have checked the "always stay logged in" box several times but it still kicks me out. Not a really big deal but if I could not log in each time that would save a moment

The site places a cookie in your computer memory to tell it to keep you signed in. If your computer automatically deletes cookies or youdon't allow cookies, this could cause your problems. Or if you use a spyware sweeper alot, it usually deletes most cookies, even good ones.
Or if you use the function on your computer to "Delete all Internet Files" that could do it as well.

K, I really don't need help logging in but I had to try like 3 or 4 times. It just sits there. It's kinda making me crazy b/c it does when I click on topics too. It was fine and then it was really slow for several days and then fine and now again. I have torepeat click click click b/f it responds. Am I the only one with this problem? Or is it just my is it fire fox or fox fire? Anyway......what's the deal? Is it just me?

HELP!!

My account must be screwed up. Typed a pm to someone and it wouldn't go. Did the next time. I think, though, it's connected to the other weird thing that is happening the last little bit--sometimes I don't stay signed in like normal.

Any ideas?

Oh, except that I do not always stay signed in like I used to. That happened yesterday, but not this afternoon.

You can either go to the other forum and try to login and it will give you the option to "forgot your password" or you can logout of this forum and try to log back in and do the same thing. Then you'll get an email to help you get back in.

I am having a strange problem logging in to urbanexod.us and 7xsunday.net (but not welltellme.com) using a remembered username and password with Safari. I believe it started when I changed the e-mail address in my profile from welltellme.com. I got the activation note, clicked the link, and got back into welltellme.com. I then tried urbanexod.us and 7xsunday.net using the remembered password and both gave me a "Password incorrect" page. If I type the same thing that Safari has remembered I can log in. I am pretty sure this was working before, but am not 100% sure since I only recently enabled the autofill for usernames and passwords in Safari. I have tried deleting the autofill info for those sites and letting Safari remember it again. I end up with the same problem after it remembered a successful login. Any ideas?

I posted this here on welltellme.com because I couldn't find a place for technical questions on urbanexod.us (and didn't look on 7xsunday.net).

Your ID and passwords should be the same for all three forums. If you have more than one ID, Admin can merge them for you.

Have you tried de3leting your 7xS cookies? That is an issue with SMF ( the software that runs the sites... ) sometimes it sets an old cookie... and then gets confused by itself.

I hadn't tried deleting cookies for 7xSunday or Urban Exodus. When I checked, I didn't have any for 7xSunday. I had a couple for Urban Exodus and deleted them. Tried the auto fill for the login again and had the same problem.

Maybe I should add that I am using the auto fill on the login form in the upper right of the page that is part of the UrbanExodus and 7xSunday header. I am not clicking the "Login" link in the forum navigation menu (hope that made sense).

I did a little more looking at my problem with auto fill of the login info for 7xSunday and UrbanExodus (but not WellTellMe). It looks like the login form in the header for 7xSunday and UrbanExodus have onsubmit=hashLoginPassword(....). The login form in the header for WellTellMe does not have it. If you take the login link on any of the 3 sites you get to a login page. The form on that page for all three sites also have the onsubmit=hashLoginPassword(....).

I am wondering if the onsubmit event handler is causing the problem for me with Safari (but not with other browsers).

Just a thought.

Thank you, Sarahmontgomery. I am logged on now but I can't log in as CAndy, I have to log in as Cindy, does anyone know why? It was very confusing. I would try to log in and it said there was no username CAndy, then I tried to register and it said I couldn't register as CAndy because it was already taken Undecided

Regardless of what your screen name is changed to, your user ID will always remain the same unless you delete your account and start over. You must always use your user ID to sign in. 'cindy' is your user ID and 'CAndy' is merely for display purposes only.

How did you make this post if you cannot log in?

If you're on auto and are trying to find your password, you can go to the forgot password screen and reset it. If you have a different problem, you'll need to give me more details or try the other suggestions throughout the thread.

I had someone else ask the question for me. I saw that you could use your email address to find your password, I hadn't tried that before because I knew what my password was, I just didn't know what my user name was. Then I couldn't get my answer right for my question. So I thought maybe they would accidentally tell me my name if they told me my password, so I tried that and it worked, but I was still confused by the name/ identity thing. Now you have explained it so thank you. Cindy

I log in and mark to stay logged in forever... but the next time I come back, I have to resign in... I never had this problem before... I doubt its my computer cuz on all my other sites, I just stay logged in without any problems... Huh
