  Can you identify this bean/pea?

10 years ago a family friend gave us some peas, I think?  They were about the size of a dime and were fat and white or light cream?  I think they  may have been a crowder?  Went to the co-op and asked for them and they sold me some silver crowders.  I grew them last year and they were tiny and brown colored.  Not what I had eaten 10 years earlier.  Any ideas? Pictures?

Sounds like chickpeas also called garbanzo. You could pick up a tin can of them at the grocery store to make sure they are what you are looking for.
