Dying off symptoms from Oil of Oregano

Has anyone experienced Dying Off symptoms from taking 1-2 capsules of Oil of Oregano for one week? ThI took the capsules for one week and then suddenly I felt terrible, like I had a stomach virus- nausea, constipation, dizziness and headaches. No fever at all though. This has been going on for 4 days after I discontinued use of Oil of Oregano. I am afraid to use it again for fear that I will feel like this again.

I've taken Oregano Oil several times and have never experienced those symptoms. Usually I only take one capsule each day for ten days and then follow up with a probiotic. Just recently though I was taking 2 capsules each day for Lyme's Disease symptoms. I wonder if yours was more potent. I take NOW brand. Hope you're feeling better!

I did not have die off symptoms, but the instructions that came with my OOO stated that you should be drinking a lot of water to cleanse away any toxic matter that might be released from the killing off of bacteria. So I guess it can happen!

My DD experienced pretty bad die off with it. She is 7. OOO is being used in her to kill off a pathogenic bacteria in her gut. Seems to be working well but she felt really crummy for about a week. I did not take her off of it. I would "assume" (dangerous, I know) that if you're experiencing die off that you might have a pretty lofty pathogenic bacteria in your gut. The other thing could be you're actually allergic to the oregano. It's possible. My husband reacted similar to your symptoms with goldenseal and it ended up being an allergy. It took about 4-5 days after stopping the goldenseal to feel better.

I started taking oregano oil on Sunday night. I am taking it night and morning (probably for 2 weeks). How many drops do ya'll use? I am only putting two drops in each time I take it.
