  Feet aching

Hello Friends again, I need some help figuring out why my feet hurt in the middle of the night. I guess it isn't pain but more like an ache when/if I need to get up in the middle fo the nigth and walk. It is mostly in the heal and arch of my left foot, but do have achiness in both.
Could this be caused by lack of good shoe, not enough arch support, lack of something in my diet???, any ideas would be beneficial and any suggestions for a good shoe.
It is bothersome enough and seems to be affecting me during the day slightly too.
