  Restrictive Eye

Our 3 year old dd was diagnosed with this a few days ago at a eye doctors appointment.  Basically what it is, is her Superior oblique eye muscle is getting snagged on a tiny bone called Troclea, that it goes through (it's like a circle).
When she looks up her right eye wonders because that muscle is getting snagged.  here is a picture of it  http://cim.ucdavis.edu/Eyes/eyeAnat.gif  The eye doctor said that it would take surgery to fix but that it's not a sure thing. She basically said if it was her child she wouldn't do it. So we are waiting 6 months and then going back to have a check up and see if there is any change.  And praying for healing.   Has anybody dealt with this before?  If so, what did you do about it?

After looking up the signs I'd have to say that she doesn't show any signs of it but dh and I do.
