  Babies/children with hearing impairment...

Our son was diagnosed shortly after birth with hearing loss -- mild to moderate on one side and moderate to severe on the other.  We're very grateful he's been able to receive hearing aids already -- by three and a half months!  However, neither of us have any experience with a child growing up with any type of hearing loss.  Does anyone have experience with this or know of someone who does?  Any experience with hearing aids and babies?  It's been interesting so far trying to keep these dry with a baby who likes to spit up!
