I finally gave up trying to put my first baby to sleep on his back and started to put him to sleep on him tummy. A position that all of my babies preferred. It scared the dickens out of me though so I was constantly checking on them the first few weeks of their life.

LOL! Oh, I so agree with you on this one. Mine were all early crawlers/walkers! Alas, I will continue to put my next down to sleep on his tummy.

The only time mine were on their backs as infants was when they fell asleep nursing in our bed at night. I rolled one way (popping sound as suction is broken), they would roll the other. Actually there was more of a chance of suffication nursing then sleeping on their tummies.

Small nostrils and all, you know?
