  Painful spot under skin

I have an extremely tender spot under the skin on my calf, one on my bicep and  one on my temple.  They are slightly swelled lumps and are just plain painful to press on them.  Any idea what it could be?  Also been having joint and muscles aches for a week.  Any help would be appreciated.
