  Prayer Requests (& Praises): 2007
« on: June 11, 2006, 09:28:33 PM » by jaemom
Pleae pray for my hubby's family.  His grandfather is very sick and is going downhill fast.  They don't expect him to live much longer.  He is now bedridden and on oxygen.  My hubby just lost his other grandma in April.  My in-laws are missionaries to Papua New Guinea and are over there now.  They aren't due to come home on furlough for another two years.  My FIL came back for a few weeks when his mom passed away, and now it's my MIL's dad and the last grandparent.  It has been a tough year for us so far, so please pray for us.

Another prayer request.....My hubby is leaving at 4 am to go to say goodbye to his grandfather.  He has to travel through the Tropical Storm most of the way.  Please pray he'll make it there and back safely.  Thank you so much.

My hubby got two hours away from home when they called him and told him that his grandfather had passed away so he turned around and came home.  My MIL is still trying to get out of PNG.  Please continue to pray for our family.

I am ready to get pregnant again, and i am scared! my son is 19 months old and i had 3 miscarrieges since him, I am in way better health now than i was, I am much stronget than i was, I am on progestrone cream now, but i am still worried,  I would love to know some things to do to be even healthier!  I badly want another child, I have no problem getting pregnant, but to stay pregnant seems to be another matter, and what about excersiing, is it ok to keep on like i am? I do aobut 45 minutes of Hard walking jogging and biking, every other day, and some weights and lots of home excersing,  has excersise ever made any of you loose a pregnancy???   I would really appreciate your prayers !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  and advice.

My Mother had a miscarriage after 3 babies. She didn't know she was prego and decided to do some digging in the back yard. She did a lot of jumping on a shovel and had a miscarriage the next day. She is convinced that is what caused it. Why not slow it down a bit or stop exercising for the first trimester or so. Your body has memory and should bounce right back when you get back into exercising again. Just take it slow.

I personally was sick the first three and a half months and stopped exercising because it made it worse. I started up again in my 2nd trimester and was fine. Smiley Just a suggestion.

PS: My heart hurts for your losses. God, give Helen the desire of her heart! Another gift from you!

Helen, I am so very sorry to hear of your losses.  Cry I too have had three miscarriages and can sympathize with the fear that comes after repeated losses like that.

In my recent research for very early miscarriage triggers I've found some interesting misc. information.  I don't know if any of it will help you, but I'll share.

- Many multiple early miscarriages are caused by Thyroid problems.  A fast or intense cleanse like the Lemonade Diet has been known to "reset" the thyroid if the problems are not already too severe.  The Thyroid test that most Dr.'s use is notoriously unreliable on young women, particularly if it is not a really bad problem yet.  Some natural Dr.'s will order a thyroid test that covers all four of the thyroids main functions instead of just one like most Dr.'s will.  Sometimes this test will detect problems, sometimes it won't.

- Another common cause for early miscarriages is Toxins.  Again, a cleanse and diet change can help take care of that.

- I have spoken with a handful of midwives and an OB/GYN about the exercise question.  One of my miscarriages was right after helping someone move and I had been lifting lots of heavy stuff.  While extreme strain can trigger a miscarriage, normal exercise is considered safe.  The rule of thumb all five of the midwives gave was "If you were doing it on a daily basis before you got pregnant you should be able to continue to do it afterwards...But don't increase anything. If you were running 1 mile before, only run 1 mile or less."  With things like this I think it is mostly a matter of opinion and what you feel comfortable with.

My husband and I will be praying for you.   Smiley

I had a miscarriage my first pregnancy and had been exercising a lot.  Then with my second pregnancy I slowed down the exercising, but then half way through I started bleeding and almost lost the baby and had to be on bed rest.  After I was stabilized and off bed rest I didn't do any exercise that got my heart rate going too fast.  Basically, I just did everyday activities and walking (I didn't do any heavy lifting and my husband even did the vacuuming).  I would definitely advise to give up the running or anything that causes too much jolting.  The doctor may say it is okay, but you know your body better than anyone else.  Honestly, as you carry the weight of the baby around, walking does become more of a workout than usual.  Like carry thirty pounds of extra weight while you walk!

I also had three miscarriages (my first three pregnancys).  The first one was right after some heavy work.  I would be careful with extra exercise.  You should probably cut out jogging and weight lifting. Walking would probably be good.

I used porgesterone cream on pregnancies 4 & 5 and now have two precious daughters.  I believe the cream was a big reason why I kept them.

You are in my prayers.  I understand the pain.  I am also in the "waiting till my body is a little bit healthier" stage.

Our family is need of some divine intervention.  I don't want to get into any details, but the stupidity and injustice of the world is a key factor.  God is on our side, so I know we'll win, but I need faith and wisdom to support my husband to lead us through this.

Thanks

My husband needs a new job. We just bought a house and so relocating doesn't seem like an option. My husband's current field is not very needed where we live so jobs are few and far between. Please pray for God's direction and intervention.

My husband and I would like to have another child. Right now, hubby's vasectomy reversal surgery has too much scar tissue for the sperm to pass through, so we are going with the aloe vera juice route.  I am at my ropes end for patience and am starting to get depressed. Cry
Which is really unlike me!  I am always joyful and with a smile.  I just want to scream......

Please pray for Chad, Savannah, McKenzie, and Cassidy Clark.  Chad lost his wife Myndi (32) and the girls (all under 8 ) lost their mommy last night.  Our loss is Heaven's gain.  Never have I met a more faithful family.  They were praising God all the way to the end, even now they praise him.

Please be in prayer for families of Wolf Rock School on Mine and Rock Roads in Paradise, Pennsylvania. This is an Amish community. Three hours ago, there was a shooting that resulted in at least 5 dead. The gunman was one of them. From the reports I am seeing, this was a little one-room school. A man entered and opened fire after negotiations had begun with police. Family members and children are gathered outside of the building in stunned grief. Please pray for this community that they will be ministered to and strengthened in this time and protected from the prying eyes of the curious critics. Pray for the men as they protect their wives and little ones. Pray for the women as they must grieve over their dead and continue to care for the living.

We just got word that my Father-in-law had a heart attack and passed away. PLEASE I am begging you to pray for this family. He was not saved, and my husband is distraught over this, beyond words. Pray that my husband will lead others in the family to Christ through or in the time after this horrible event. Please pray that God's will is done in what is to come, and that the family will be okay. I'm just in shock right now. Thank you.......

Yesterday a very wicked man shot and killed several girls in an Amish school in PA.  Three girls died at the scene and two more have died since the shooting.  The man killed himself as well.  I ask you to pray as two of the girls who were shot were nieces of the farmer who supplies the raw milk and such for my coop. He and his wife are Dan and Rachel Allgyer.  One niece died at the scene and one is in critical condition now.
Please pray that God will comfort all of these families.
Please pray that they will find the truth throughout this.

Annie9,
I am praying for you!  I just saw this.  We cannot touch His cloak in the crowd these days, however His Spirit is touching us.  Don't ever give up.  Are you on Omega 3?  Let me just share this site with you for your perusal...it's about a special supplement blend and many testimonies, I am using it for my son who is diagnosed with juvenile bipolar disorder.  www.truehope.com
Of course, our one true hope is Jesus, and I pray and trust Him to heal you.

I'd appreciate eveybodies prayers for us these next few weeks.  After leaving Mexico in January we moved back to my dh's home of CO.  We have recently started a hispanic ministry at our church.  Problem is church is 40 miles away.  It is so hard to get there during the week, because of work schedule, toddlers, and time.  We had meetings on Sunday, but really felt we needed more involvement in the lives of the people we want to work with.

So...  We decided to move to the town our church is in, and my husband will have to change jobs.  The plan is for him to get a job at a meat processing plant.  That is where all the hispanics work, and that will give my dh daily interaction.

We believe this is the Lord leading, and we are stepping out in faith.  Like I have mentioned in several other posts, we are moving next week, but.... we don't have the job yet.  Nor extra money....

So please pray with us that God will work out the details.  I know that HE will provide and pave our ways as we follow in His will.  Please pray that I will have peace in the meantime.  It is a little scary.

I'm asking for prayer for my family, my son, and me. My 17 yr old son is visiting. He lives in  California where he goes to a big city school and lives with non-believing family. Our relationship is very strained right now. To put it bluntly my son is a bully and a jerk. He teases and bullies his brother and sister until they can't take it anymore and they just lose it. He does the same to  me. I am trying so hard not to lose it not to let him push my buttons but he can do it like no one else can. I lost it today when he was torturing his little sister and I told him to leave. He very snottily replied that he couldn't unless I let him take the car, so I said fine just go. I want so badly to be a witness to him and let him see how the Lord has changed me and our family but every time he comes I am reduced to a screaming shrew. I just want him to go and leave us some peace and I am so ashamed of feeling that way. Please pray that the Lord would just give me a peace give me the strength not to yell back. That I could be a witness to him of love and understanding and not judging. I just pray for strength. And I pray that he would come out of the world he is so caught up in and walk with Jesus. Please pray for me. Thank you.

An update, his blood count from last week came back and it is not his hep C that is making him loose weight.  The count with that is still good.  His diabetes is still pretty good too.  But an MRI scan showed something in his head.  They do not know what yet.  I don't know.  I feel they are missing something here.  Rapid weight loss like he went through (it was in a 3 month stretch) is not normal...not if you are not changing anything you do.  My gut says something is seriously wrong. Please keep praying for my father-in-law.  He is saved so that is a comfort.

I would appreciate your prayers today.  I am in the beginning stages of labor which is awesome, but sometimes my body rebels some and I have been sick at my stomach.  Tongue
I was up most of the night.  The contractions were going great, but have slacked off some probably because I am tired.
This looks to be a rather long day.  I have always had long labors.
It would be so nice to go ahead and have the baby today.  It was my mom's birthday.  She passed away several years ago, but she would have loved having a baby born on her birthday.  We do not know what the sex is yet, but if it's a girl, we'll name it after her.  We don't have boy's name yet. Roll Eyes  I have enjoyed reading the favorite names thread on here, but nothing has stuck.
Thanks for your prayers today and thanks for this web site. Smiley
