Our big boy (#3) has arrived! Joshua Anwell finally came (3 days late) on April 27th at 8:57 p.m. after 4 hours of labor. He was 11 lbs 1 oz and 22 1/2 inches long.

Thanks be to God for His grace and our beautiful baby. My husband picked his middle name Anwell. It means "one who is dearly loved," and he truly is. So far he's been my calmest and sweetest baby and my worst nurser (he chewed me to pieces!)

Caleb Asher Trautman arrived on June 2 at 8:32 am.
9 lb. 3 oz. 20 1/2 inches long
He arrived via c-section (my first after six natural deliveries) and is doing great. His five brothers and one sister are enjoying him. He is a champion nurser which is great for mama. Now I just need to learn to count to 7 instead of 6. Grin

Ezekiel John Coles arrived on May 31 here in Denver. He's 7lbs, 12oz and 19 inches long. We're still waiting, though, to take him home from ICU. He seems to be an acrobat from before birth who tied a full knot in his cord and has had a tough time so far. However, as a result, we found out he has something called cavernomas that has led to bleeding in his brain. We're still struggling to know what to do both with the long term issues surrounding the existing bleeding and the lifestyle changes that could surround the condition itself. But, we praise God that he survived the birth and we're ready to take him home... hopefully tomorrow!

Hi everyone! I don't post all that often, but wanted to announce the birth of our sweet baby boy!

Baby Lukas was born May 29th, 7:49 a.m., weighing 7lbs.15.1oz, and was 19.5in. long! Congrats to all the new mamas! : )

Our little boy arrived last night, just before midnight. He is 7 lbs 14 oz, 21 inches and was 8 days overdue, but here nonetheless. Praise the Lord for a short labor (active stage of about 45 minutes) and a healthy baby #5!

Bruce Wayne M__________ (aka Batman) was born at home at 5:05 am Monday, August 24th .

He was 8lb 1oz, 21.25 inches long. A pretty good lookin' boy if I do say so myself!

Katherine Mairead has arrived! She was born on September 2nd in the morning. Katie was born 8 weeks premature after my water broke at 30 weeks. We were able to postpone delivery for 10 days (with medical intervention!) to allow her lungs a chance to mature. She was 4 pounds, 2 ounces at birth.

Praise God!, she was pink, feisty and breathing on her own the moment she was born and has been thriving ever since. She is still in the NICU, but doing well and getting the hang of nursing...much to the delight of her mama!

I had a c-section...not my preference, but necessary for a healthy baby in this case. My recovery has gone very smoothly and I feel almost 100% again.

Catherine/Kathleen/etc. are family names which is why we chose that name for her. And her middle name is an Irish variant of Margaret, another family name. It's pronounced Mah-raid.

Thanks to all of you that have prayed for this baby during my pregnancy. Katie is defying all the odds and is a testimony to the grace of God.

Hi everyone,

I haven't been on here in a long time. I went into preterm labor with the twins at 25 weeks, but thanks to resting well... I made it to 38 weeks. On 7-17 I had two perfect girls... holly weighing in at 6 12 and chloe weighing in at 5 15.. God is good..

Benjamin Elliot made his apperance at 6:30 on Sun morning (9/27). Weighing in at 8 lbs- 9 oz. he is our 4th son- we also have 2 daughters. it was so awesome to have him delivered at home--laboring thru the nite, so the little ones slept thru it--our 10 yr old woke up to the sound of a vibrantly screaming newborn-- music to his ears and all of us! the baby has a strong cry-can you believe he was crying b/4 he was totally out! he was stuck at the shoulders a bit, and i was having this last contraction, and yet hearing the screaming!- all boy--all he can think is nurse sleep, and soiled diapers! Kiss

the siblings go absolutely mushy over him-- causing spats, and watching the clock to see who gets him next! he is a total beauty, and so wonderously created by our maker!

I haven't posted in a while, but I just realized that I never posted the arrival of my sweet little boy, Dmitri Alexander. He was born on June 21st, Father's Day and was 9lb 1 oz, 22 1/2 inches long, 15 1/2 inch head circumference. Born after 31 hours of labor! YOY!

Edit: We later discovered that the above weight and length was incorrect. Roll Eyes

When we weighed him, we just just at how much the flannel sling weighed, but later I had it weighed at the post office. And with the length, someone thought he looked longer. I remeasured and discovered he was 23". I went back and looked at the paper tape measure that came with the birth kit. The measuring didn't start for 1 3/4". My mom and husband didn't even notice when they measured him. So... 8lbs. 8 ozs. and 23" long! No wonder he was still up in my ribs during labor. (My husband was 23 1/2")

Baby Thomas Nathaniel was born safe at home into his Daddy's loving hands! He is our smallest peanut yet, weighing in at 7.8 lbs and 19.5in! Our labor was a long and crazy experience, but our breech delivery was smooth and amazing! I'll try to post our story later. God is so good to us!!!! Cheesy

Baby Girl number 2 has arrived! Nora Jane ("light of God's grace") joined us December 29 after a short 2.5 hours of active labor, most of which mama didn't recognize as labor Roll Eyes

??...oy. 8 lb, 5 oz, 20 inches long. Absolutely precious and all three of us are enjoying our babymooning.

Hi all! i am finally no longer pregnant!! yippee! Paxton James arrived Monday night in a snowstorm, (40 min ride to the hospital that is 20 min. away!) labor was fast, 2 hours from start to finish and he weighed 6 lb. 4 oz and was 20" long. we're home and he is nursing really well and doing great! Grin

Praise the Lord, we started giving him probiotics right away and he is NOT screaming all the time, just normal crying occasionally when hungry or being changed. it's been 10 years (and 3 other babies) since we've had a sweet baby! we are so blessed!! Grin

Baby #7, Isabelle Glory was born January 25th and weighed a whopping 9lbs., 3oz. and 21 1/4 inches! Our biggest baby yet! 12 hours of labor from first contraction, but really only 6 of what I would call "real labor". She's amazing and we are all so excited to be home with our precious "not so little" one:)!

This is a little late, but baby #2, Anthony "Isaiah" Visser was born at 3:57am on February 24th. He weighed 8lbs. 3ozs. and was 21in. long. It was a fast, totally natural birth (praise God!), and he was worth every minute and pain that it took to get him here!

Our little one, Collin Williamson was born on Feb. 25th at 7:10 AM. He was 8 lb, 8 oz. and is such a sweet, laid back little guy. He eats really well, and even nurses in his sleep! He'd gained 2 oz. in 4 days at his first Dr. appt.

Collin was born with a rare and very minor cleft lip, which appears just to be a scar as if he'd already had the cleft surgery. My Dad was born with an open cleft lip, so it's a genetic predisposition that we were aware of. We're so grateful at God's grace in knitting his lip together in the womb! He has the cutest little Elvis smile.
