Hmmm....

2.) Surprising fact:  I'm married to a chitty chitty bang bang daddy.   Grin

Does this mean he is always in the shop/garage working on new things Huh
If so that was my dad!  My dad even looks like Dick Van Dyke.  Cheesy

Well, yes and no.  We have a home business so he is in the garage all the time working.  But on his "free time" he is an inventor at heart.  Has 7 patents.   Grin  My house isn't quite as disorganized as the house in the movie Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, but the invention stuff is so him! And two of my kids are JUST like daddy that way.  Cheesy

patti

Patti - My husband was inspired by yours.  He was so excited after just talking to him for a couple minutes.  Visionaries are wonderful!!!!  Keeps life fun and interesting for sure.

#1.  What is your best  or most unique talent.
Probably what my husband calls "the look". My grandma, my mom and myself all do it and it seems to scare small children and large men into doing just about anything.

#2.  What is the one thing most people would be surprised to know about  you.
I'm not sure about that one. My family will be pretty freaked when I tell them I'm aiming for a home birth with my next one.  Roll Eyes

#3.  What is your most embarrassing book in your personal library(keep it clean)   Probably Micheal Pearl's commentary on Song of Soloman. Good to read but hard to recommend. Lol.

Ok, I forgot the last four....

4.) Pet Peeve: That weird noise people make in the back of their throat. And loud chewing/drinking noises.

5.) Greatest fear: My daughter (and future children) walking away from God.

6.)  Vacation inside U.S.:  Maine.

7.)  Vacation outside of U.S.: England (I'm close to 3/4 English)

Pet Peeve: --When a car is sitting there waiting for me to pull out of my parking spot so they can have it right away. This frustrates me because I want to buckle the kids in, put the receipts away and do whatever before I drive. So I just sit there doing my thing while the other car has to hurry and wait. Muahahahahha.

Another pet peeve is legalism, closed mindness, judgementalism and those who do not properly respect a woman's right for chocolate. LOL.

How can anyone deny a female her beloved chocolate?  Huh  Cheesy  Wink  Roll Eyes  Shocked

Can't believe I haven't done this yet...  Grin

1.  Unique talent:
Memorizing things (except numbers).  I memorize way too much - unconciously.  I remember EXACTLY what people say, how they say it, and try really, really hard not to correct people when they say "I said this... or that".

2. Surprised to know (?):
My daughter told me what to write, but I can't - nobody knows...!  It's embarrassing, but not sinful - so don't worry.  Wink

3. Most embarrassing book(s)  (this one is easy*):
Created to be His Help Meet
How to Make Your Husband Feel Loved
 Love and Respect

*I'm a widow - no husband here...!  Embarrassed
And these are all books I got after I became a widow...!  Undecided
Hey - I need to teach my 4 daughters, right...?   Cool Grin Roll Eyes Huh

1.) Best talent:     Cooking something awesome out of nothing

2.) Surprising fact:  I do not have it all together, no matter it what it looks like

3.) Embarrassing book:  Speed Cleaning

4.) Pet Peeve:  nonChristians attacking Christians on forums (or other public places) and treating them with disgust

5.) Greatest fear:  My kids denying Christ

6.)  Vacation inside U.S.:  Hawaii

7.)  Vacation outside of U.S.:  BoraBora in those little huts out on the water

....Woops...Didn't see these 4:

1.  Pet Peeve:
People beating around the bush and not speaking directly.

2. Biggest fear:
    hmmmmm

3. Vacation inside US:
Road trip across the whole thing with free gas.   Tongue Tongue

4. Vacation outside the US:
Already been to China, but would love to go back...!
(It's the food...)

Oh... I thought of something for the "surprising fact" queston:
Most people are surprised to discover my age (33) because I have a (nearly) 16 year old daughter.  Yes, I had her when I was 17 - God is good, and His salvation and mercy was given to me at the age of 20... Ever will I praise Him!

Best Talent: Probably editing.  I used to write, but I quit because I was so critical of my own writing that I never got anywhere.  I really am good at it, which makes me a total geek. Lips Sealed

Surprising Fact:  I love to watch my DH play video games (Halo, specifically).  I know all the weapons terminology and storylines, so he just eats it all up when he's playing with friends.  I watch his radar for him and tell him when somebody gets close, because he's colorblind and has a hard time seeing red.  He brags to all of them that his wife is his "cheerleader." Cool  That makes me cooler than the other wives.

Embarrassing Book:  American Academy of Pediatrics Caring For Your Baby And Young Child.  I was young and ignorant. Embarrassed

Pet Peeve:  People who can't mind their own business.  Bad grammar would be a close second.  And flies in the house. Angry

Greatest Fear:  Being enclosed in a small space.  I'm HIGHLY claustrophobic.  I also have recurring nightmares about bears. Huh

Vacation inside U.S.:  Probably just driving and being able to stop wherever and whenever we wanted.  Like on Route 66, with all of the little mom-and-pop stores.  I've always wanted to see the museums in D.C. and all of the national parks out west.

Vacation outside U.S.:  Costa Rica!  That's really DH's first choice, but he'd be so happy, I know I'd have fun.  His pictures of it really do look beautiful.

1.) Best talent:     Bargain shopping!  I LOVE getting deals!

2.) Surprising fact:  Like morningglory, I like to watch DH play video games, too.  BUT I also LOVE to play some video games on our Xbox360 myself.

3.) Embarrassing book:  "Sheet Music"--really great book, but not one that you really want company to pick up!

4.) Pet Peeve:  Random uncouth body noises (lip smacking, chewing with mouth open, passing gas, belching, sniffing)

5.) Greatest fear:  Drowning or falling

6.)  Vacation inside U.S.:  California

7.)  Vacation outside of U.S.:  Great Britain, everyone in my family has been except for me and DH!

1.) Best talent:     Cooking from the pantry, and so not having to go to the store for a week.  Oh, and I'm a singer Smiley

2.) Surprising fact:  I plead guilty to the video game thing.  I buy games for DH...that I want to play!

3.) Embarrassing book:  Oh, I can't even say.  There are so, so many and they are embarrassing in so many different ways  Embarrassed

4.) Pet Peeve:  People telling me "I know what you're going to say, but..."  No, you don't.  Wink

5.) Greatest fear:  Fire.  Take that for what it's worth.  Spiders run a close second.

6.)  Vacation inside U.S.:  Alaska, Montana, Wyoming.  Something big and wild.

7.)  Vacation outside of U.S.:  To go back to Ireland!! Preferably to stay!

1.) Best talent: The family baker - and family organizer, according to my mom.

Most unique talent: Hanging a spoon from my nose while talking.

2.) Suprising fact: When we first meet, people think I am quiet. The joke's on them.  Cheesy

3.) Embarrassing book: None that I know of.  Huh

4.) Pet Peeve: Bossy people. I can always come up with my own plan.  Grin

5.) Greatest fear: Snakes, they are so crawly and gross.  Tongue

6.)Where would your dream vacation take you:
In the USA
Alaska all the way - especially Denali and Nome. They intrigue me. And the Lake of the Ozarks - great shopping, great scenery, great weather. What more could you ask for?

7.)And outside the US- Scotland, like CR, I want to see where George MacDonald's characters lived. And Normandy Beach, for it's historical significance.
