I emailed beeyoutiful to ask how to take the YA and TT. They said that it is probably best to take them separately (like one in the morning and one in the evening) as there is the possibility of the YA working negatively on the TT. HTH!  Smiley

While my 10 year old hasn't done an official cleanse for yeast, she has taken both.  She is only 65 pounds.  I gave her 1 tummy tune up in the morning and 1 at night; I gave her 1 yeast assassin in the morning with that being it.
I do tend to err on the side of conservatism with children, but since your daughter is 13 and weighs more than 100 pounds (just barely) I would probably follow the label of TTU and give 1 cap up to 3 times a day.  The YA I might still be more conservative than the label dose of 2 caps twice a day and do just 1 twice a day to see what kind of die off symptoms she has.  If she can handle it, and a 13 year old who wants to do a cleanse might, I would give her the 2 caps twice a day.
My point of view is that it is mostly how she will tolerate the die off and the aggressiveness of the products as she is young.  I think that her size and age, despite being smaller and younger, still put her in what I would consider the adult category.

OK...I am doing the yeast cleanse.  I have been taking 2 ya twice a day and a couple acidopholus blasts.  So far I only had about 24 hours of headache and feeling yucky.  Today (Day 3) I feel pretty good.  Since I survived it, my MIL would like to do a yeast cleanse.  Here's the kicker...she has taken anywhere from 3-8 rounds of antibiotics/year for YEARS.  I suggested that she not use the acidopholus blast, but the Ultimate Defense considering how bad her gut is.  She wondered how long she would have to take the YA and Ultimate Defense.  Does anyone want to guess on this one?  I'm not even sure how long I'm supposed to take them.  One good thing is that due to her diabetes, she does eat an EXTREMELY low carb/no sugar diet and NEVER cheats.  Has anyone had experience with this bad of a history with antibiotics or a really bad yeast problem?

i weigh 95 and my daughter who is 15 weighs just more than me.  i wouldn't have any problem with either of us taking the adult dosage.  or maybe 1 less.  3 instead of 4.  good luck!

How many YA a day are you all taking?  I started with 4 per day and have been doing so for almost 2 weeks.  I thought I read somewhere that you could drop to 2 per day later.  I'm still low carbing with NO sugar.

Also, I'm taking the acidopholus blast before bed so it has an empty tummy to work on all night.  Is that good or bad?

OK...question for those who've battled and won the candida war.  I took the 4 YA and 2 Acidopholus Blast daily with a low carb (under 60 carbs) for about 2 weeks.  I only had about 12 hours of die off in the beginning and I had so much ENERGY...I had forgotten what that felt like.  So then I went down to 2 YA and 1 AB daily and added back in grains and such and then I really fell of the wagon this week as I was out toting sick people to the doctor and various other activities (piano, 4-H, etc)  So now I have noticed that some yeast related symptoms are still gone, but some are returning.  The eczema that was finally (for the first time in 15 years) healing is not raging and driving me nuts.  Also, I'm lacking energy but not to the extent I was before.  I also think I might be a wee bit anemic based on my inner eyelids being very pale pink instead of bright pink. (Not sure if this is a good method on people, but it is a sure indicator of anemia in goats Grin)  Also, at the end of the second week I started expirementing with all sorts of low carb recipes (mostly sweet stuff) and I really think that is sabotoged (sp?) what I was doing.  My sweet tooth came back full force and I started feeling hungry all day again (where I was feeling full with normal amounts of food and not feeling a need to snack).  OK....if you'd stuck with it long enough to read my book on lack of self disicipline....here's the question(s).

Should I go back to square one or continue on with the daily 2 YA and 1 AB BUT go no sugar/sweetener and low carb?  Or should I have never dropped to the amounts I was taking?  Would it hurt to add iron and spirulina to the mix?  Thanks for any input in advance.

undisciplined, die hard sweet tooth,

When you say you were experimenting with low carb, sweet stuff, do you mean artificial sweeteners?
If it is what you were using I would think you could be having a reaction to them.  It is hard to think that you are giving up sweets, but I would personally transition natural sweets back in moderation and see how it goes instead of using unnatural sources...
I do apologize for assuming...

I was using splenda.  I was reading through maker's diet and think that if I have a craving, it might be better to have a small amount (like 1 T.) of honey or maple syrup rather than an artificial sweetener.

The splenda recipes opened up the sweet too so that I fell off the wagon when I found Cadbury Cream Eggs on clearance for 15 cents each! Shocked  Grin Shocked

How long should you continue with the YA?  I was reading the Yeast Connection cookbook and he mentions that some people take months or even years to get the candida back to a normal range.

Those Cadbury eggs are dangerous!
You might also want to consider stevia as a sweetener...
My experience has been that I just have to go cold turkey on those kinds of things...  I can't give myself even an inch of wiggle room or it quickly becomes a mile....
When I did my yeast cleanse I used the YA for 2 weeks... I didn't have a big problem with yeast to begin with, though.
I'm sure that the real yeast experts will quickly answer....

I am pretty sure I have a yeast problem and want to start on the anti-yeast cleansing.  However, in the past, when I've taken TTU I get really sick.  I've only taken it twice and both times was because a stomach bug was going around our house.  I took one pill both times.  I was sick for two days afterwards.  Extremely nauseous and my stomach was kindof sore.  Is that a sign of detoxing or something else?  Should I try to take 1/2 a pill for a week and then take a full one or should I tough it out for a few days with at least one a day?  I'm 13 weeks preggo and just now starting to feel good again so I'm really kindof hesitant to start but I know I need to get rid of this yeast.  Any thoughts would help!
