I just received my YA and TT today...Yeah!! But was planning to start next week, when I can get to the grocery store and stock up on veges and other non sugar/yeast foods. my question is this. I'd like to stay on YA at least 1 month, while doing a strict food combining, no yeast/sugar diet. However, my birthday, and several relatives birthdays, will be celebrated all together in late Aug. Will I feel disgusting if I "celebrate" with everyone while taking the YA? Will it completely set me back, having to start from square one? If I were at home, it probably wouldn't be a big deal, but this will probably be somewhere else, with a bunch of relatives that have never heard of the word "cleanse" when it comes to our bodies! Undecided Just wondering if anyone has done this before.

I think if you are doing right from now until then you won't even want cake.......but I would say if it is in moderation I dont' think you would feel physically ill.  I know we try to eat right most of the time but whenever we splurge my husband always says why did we do that?

YA actively kills off yeast. Tummy tuneup increases good intestinal flora, which help keep yeast out once removed. It also does other great stuff for GI health.

I cheated on day 14 of my sugar free diet.  I ate a couple pieces of very yummy cake with even yummier chocolate icing.  I don't think it set me back, but it does increase the chances of starting your cravings up again.  One thing I have read is that if you're going to cheat with sugar/carbs, etc, do it all in a hour and then stop.  Don't drag it out over hours and hours throughout the day.  It's better to eat 2 pieces of cake all at once then to snack and pick at it over the course of time becaue it takes your body way more time to detox and flush the damage when dragging it out, causing a higher chance of back tracking.

Yeast Assassin kills the yeast directly leaving dead yeast cells in the body to flush causing die-off or detox.  Tummy-Tune up is millions or billions of tiny bacteria that actually eat the yeast.  This causes less detox and die-off because the bacteria digest and convert the yeast into lactic acid instead of dead decaying matter.  The probiotics are a better way to go, but sometimes just are not aggressive enough when candida is out of control.

HB, if you were to got the probiotic route with the original tummy tuneup, would you take more than the normal dosage to repopulate your intestinal track?

Can you use other brands of probiotic or just kefir? I have Nature's Sunshine proboiotics and fresh kefir. I also wander if Yeast Assasin works as well or better than  Three - Lac that was talked about on another thread Undecided I feel candida is probably my issue and would like the right combo. If tummy tune-up is better then that's o.k. to. I am new to candida issues( or just finally realizing the problem Roll Eyes) i have never had a yeast infection that I know of so i assumed that if i didn't have that i didn't have candida issues. Grin That's my problem, assuming.HAHA Thanks again

OK, some time we must have a Three-Lac Tummy Tuneup shootout! Heh, just kidding. Basically, from me you are going to get the TT/YA story... hopefully someone out there might know a little more than just quotes from the promotional material of Three-Lac, but in any case, it seems that many women have been helped by it.

The way Yeast Assassin works is that it creates a very hostile environment for yeast in the GI. As a matter of fact it also is pretty good at evicting parasites... The basis of the formula is Capryllic acid which is probably the most common natural remedy for yeast overgrowth. There are many Capryllic acid products on the market and most of them are very good.

To the Capryllic is added Oil of Oregano, Pau D'Arco, Black Walnut Hull, Biotin, and Magnesium.

Oil of Oregano is probably natures best anti-yeast oil besides Garlic oil (I guess the Itallians had it figured out!). It also seems to have some virus inhibiting properties. Many people take oil of oregano at the onset of sore throat and cold symptoms, but it is pretty difficult to swallow a glass of water with 5 to 10 drops of oil of oregan for most people... so its not a terribly popular remedy.

Pau D'Arco was first popularized in research to see if it could be used as a source for a chemotherapy drug. The anecdotal uses claim that it can cure cancer, but as a drug (highly concentrated) it could not without other side effects. The indigenous people groups that discovered Pau D'Arco's healing properties used it mostly as a was in wounds and to kill fungal/yeast problems. Most resources recommend 900mg a day to combat yeast... that is if you are taking it alone.

Black Walnut Hull is another classic antifungal (http://www.drclark.net/info/blackwalnut.pdf) but is also the most commonly used anti-parasitic.

Biotin helps the body create hormones that in turn regulate sugar... and interestingly, it also interferes with yeast growth...

Tummy TuneUp 8 and 12 are especially good at re-establishing a strong intestinal flora as the yeast dies off. The Tummy Tuneup8 article could be about 3 pages long... I'll have to write it some time, but that is one great probiotic.

Not that what you have is bad, don't get me wrong, use whatever you have on hand... it will help.

Do try Yeast Assassin. It is really great, and as it rids you of yeast it will also kill off the parasites that are often symbiotic with the yeast... just don't get freaked out and stop taking it half way through! Take the whole bottle over time, and if the things that you pass are a little odd... just be thankful that they are no longer in you!

Well, how would you know for sure that you do have candida or parasites?

Look for the symptoms.

... breast fibroid,...

healthybratt,

I am taking the YA and TT.  I know I have yeast overgrowth.  I have a pea sized fibroid cyst in my breast, will taking these make it better.  I rarely have trouble with it, but I did notice that when I started the YA & TT and was detoxing that it hurt like the dickens!!   Also, I am giving my kids TT for yeast.  They too had dieoff symptoms with just the TT.  My question about that is haw much should I give them daily and for how long?  I have been taking 2 YA, 1 TT and a Super Mom in the AM and the same in the PM.  Should I continue this regimine or should I back off some since the dieoff has occured.  I want to do the 6 month cleanse but just wondered if that is how I should be taking it.

Thanks,
Shawna Kiss

Your current plan sounds good to me, Shawna. You might back off to one YA twice daily after a few weeks. Just keep aware and notice how you're feeling, look for critters in the toilet... etc... If no critters, and you're feeling fine, go for the low dosage of one YA and one TT twice daily.

The way you feel, and your condition will be different from anyone else, so you'll have to adjust, and be aware of your body, do self-diagnosis and self-treatment. Your diet also is a factor. If you eat lots of naturally fermented foods like kefir, yogurt, and kombucha, you'll need less supplementation. If you have a sugar addiction, or eat lots of carbs, you'll need more supplementation for a longer period of time.

Good luck with the cleansing!

Shawna,

I've had no experience with fibroids.  I'm also not a trained medical expert of any kind.  All of the information I have posted is all from research I've done on the effects of candida and leaky gut.

Having said all that, I don't know if your cyst will heal.  Based on the information I've studied, the pain could be a result of the cyst attempting to break up and pass during detox.  I don't think treating for candida will hurt your cyst or make it worse, but like Beka said, monitor your own body and do what it tells you to do.

If you are detoxing, you have two choices.  You can back down as Beka suggested if you feel the symptoms are too extreme to handle (headaches, naseau, or other flu-like symptoms), or you if you have the time to rest and take a break from regular life for a couple of days, you can just push through and drink lots and lots of water and when you're not drinking or peeing, sleep and rest.  These symptoms generally don't last more than a couple of days.

I guess I should have made myself more clear.  I am through the "bad part".  I don't have anymore headache or anything.  I just want to know do I continue taking the same amount for the 6 months?  I also wanted to know about how much and how long to give the TT to my kids for the yeast.  They too are through with the HA and the "yeast infection" type symptoms.  I already feel much better.  My oldest daughter does seem to have an excess of terrible smalling gas these days though Tongue

Thanks

My 2 1/2 yr old often complains that his tummy hurts. Now, I will say that EVERY time he lays down to sleep (nap and night) he says his tummy hurts because he like to eat papaya chewables!! BUT there are other times when he is actually in pain.

My question is - Would Tummy Tune-Up on a daily basis be a good thing for him (and our entire family actually)? What are the health benefits of taking it daily?

One thing I learned working with little ones is that sometimes when they say that their tummy hurts, they actually have to poop.  They just don't know how to describe it better than that.  Just something to check on.

Hi!

We have a 4 year old boy who was on antibiotics at birth.  We also have Crohn's in our family...we use probiotics (not Tumnmy-Tupe Up, yet) for him, and now for us and we can tell when he does NOT have them...tummy aches.

I was wondering, too, if the papaya chewables were designed for children?  I had some before and they said that they were not suitable for children.   Tongue  We've used the American Health acidophilus chewables (banana, strawberry or blueberry) w/ meals successfully.

Could the pains be hunger?  A growth spurt?  The idea that it's related to using the bathroom is a good one!  Is there any trouble w/ regularity?  I am a bowel movement scientist, according to my husband!   Cheesy

Is chamomile something to try?  Is he gassy at all?  Hope you find some answers here!

Question about Yeast Assassin - specifically about the Black Walnut Hull?!

Heres the deal...  I want to order the YA and TT, obviously for yeast, but also for possible parasites...

This may be a really dumb question, and I searched all over to see if I could find the answer and couldn't find any information...  Is it dangerous to take something with Black Walnut Hulls if a person has an allergy to walnuts???

I am "somewhat" allergic to walnuts.  By "somewhat", I mean they make my mouth raw and sore, though cooked ones don't seem to bother me as much.  I wonder if I were to continue eating them if my allergy would get worse?  Just out of morbid curiousity, I DID eat one the other day, on purpose [!!!] - and didn't fall over dead, so must not be too bad off - LOL!

In any case, I would like to know whether Black Walnut Hull would even have the same allergic effect as eating the walnuts themselves??  Does anyone know?!
 Huh

Thanks!

Needing to have a BM is probably not the issue with him - he goes "big poopoo" on the potty about every 3 days and just did yesterday.

Yep sometimes I wonder if it's hunger, but then we offer him something to eat (like after his nap, which is another time that he says his tummy hurts) he doesn't want or eat anything. He's not gassy or burpy. Papaya was actually suggested by my midwife to give him because of the enzymes - but we don't allow him to have more than 2 a day - Usually only 1.

But could I give hime Tummy Tune-Up every day? Would that be a safe thing to do?

I think probiotics are safe and give them to my children.  I am not familiar w/ TT, though.

Going every 3 days makes me think that IS the trouble.  Isn't one to have 1-2 BM/day?

What do others have as a standard?

I have talked to Mom's who give it to their little babies every day as a preventative/treatment for colic with no problems or side effects.  I am not personally familiar with any problems with giving it to your toddler. I have heard Beka say that she gives her little ones 1/2 a cap of Tummy Tune Up Original blend mixed in either food or drink several times a day if needed.  To my knowledge there isn't anything in Tummy Tune Up, if taken in moderation that would be harmful for him even if you give it on a daily basis.   Smiley

I was thinking the same thing.  TT keeps my digestion working very well.  I'm hoping once I get the candida gone and dead I can quit taking the TT and stay that way.

I suppose detox is a possibility especially the headache, but I think a virus or cold is more likely.

I am taking the ttu. just one a day but I am not having any die off symptoms but I do eat a low sugar carb diet and have been drinking acv for atleast 5 months.  Should I take more tune up to get some die off symptoms?  why should children not take YA?  I am giving my kids one ttu a day too and they dont' seem to be having any die off and I am quite certain that atleast one of them has yeast, well, he is doing th paragone thing.  Tomorrow will be the end of his first round.  I was wondering if SC garlic tea would help him?  He sniffs alot.
