The topics on yeast have been most enlightening! And I never would have heard of Nourishing Traditions if it wasn't for this place. And garlic has a special place in my life now...I've learned so much about the application and use!

I love this site. Grin Thank you for making it available. I have been lurking & watching the site for a few months & joined last week. This is the first form I have ever joined. I have been studying & using alternative medicine for 20+ years & I have learned so much from everyone here. I have found that the links & book recommendations have led me in so many new directions. No matter how much you know there is always more to learn. I also love that I can interact w/like minded people & not have to spend my time defending the choices DH & I have made for our family in regard to health, homeschooling, etc.

My 'gold' list includes:
kombucha
goot
yeast/candida
homoginized milk
kefir

The links have already been posted.  I also enjoy the humor and comraderie, but I can't post ALL of those links Wink, they would go onto my 'platinum' list.
Thank you, Welltellme! Kiss

I think it would be easier to respond to what HASN'T been helpful!  This forum has CHANGED us so much!

1.  Maker's Diet/Nourishing Traditions
2.  Infertility http://www.welltellme.com/discuss/index.php/topic,3763.0.html and Water Cure (We finally got pregnant again!! Smiley
3.  Kefir & Raw milk
4.  Tummy Tune up
5.  Various threads on environmental toxins (ex: No Poo).
6.  Goot, Garlic oil, Cinnemon oil, etc for sick family

This is to mention just the top six listed in order of importance.

I learned sooooo much, and used to spend hours a day searching and reading this site! Now I'm homeschooling 3, and only have time to visit occasionally. But I am very thankful for the threads about GI cleansing, candida, mercury amalgam fillings, garlic/goot, and especially the hair oil! Wink Hubby loves the soft hair!!! Kiss

A #1 would be of course GOOT!!!!  it has changed my life!  now i am not just "trying" not to take my kids to the dr.  i just plain don't need him anymore!  i am confident that i can overcome snotty noses & threatened ear infections without a trip to see him and antibiotics!   Grin

http://www.welltellme.com/discuss/index.php/topic,3310.0.html

also, homemade granola thread:

http://www.welltellme.com/discuss/index.php/topic,3172.0.html

and yogurt and kefir threads (already mentioned)

and kombucha, which i'm just learning to use.

http://www.welltellme.com/discuss/index.php/topic,832.0.html

without welltellme i never would have made any of the above things.  it has removed many a toxin from my house and life.  and i have just begun saving lots of money!

http://www.welltellme.com/discuss/index.php/topic,2514.0.html

well, i guess that's all i can think of right now, though i know there is more.  gotta love welltellme!   Grin

WTM has changed our lives in so many ways!  What a blessing it has been for our family!  My favorite blessings (offhand):

Candida/Yeast - led to our doing a very healthy cleanse and new eating habits

Laundry Soap - saving us a tremendous amount of money, plus it makes me feel like a home chemist!

Going No-Poo - though we do use a bar hair soap twice a week, the apple cider rinse was revolutionary for us

GOOT and garlic - I'm almost religious in my use and promotion of garlic now!  Smiley

I think all of my "favorite" posts have been included.  We now "goot", and use eucalyptus oil, and have added yogurt to our breakfast menu.   I am still learning/reading regarding skin conditions/soap and dairy products. This site has been a great resource in my learning to take better care of my family.  Thanks so much to everyone who posts with great information and their experiences.

Also my husband hasn't had allergies since he did the master cleanse.

Last, the coughing/cold threads have been extremely useful.
