I have a friend having major muscle tension issues - causing horrible headaches, jaw clenching at night etc. She has had good success with restful sleep at night taking chamomile but not so much during the day taking a tension reducing tea. I know this is old but thought it might be a help to know. My iridologiest recommends lavender oil for this. rub it on the sore muscles. I use peppermint oil with great results as I am not fond of the smell of lavender. I rub it between the shoulders and up the neck. It really works wanders for me.
