MQM,  Sorry I didn't finish posting our daily MC experience.  Life gets really hectic around here.  As a rule, I don't have much computer time.  I am just to busy!

Anyway, DH said, on day 5, that he was reading somewhere on the CureZone site, that if you get really sick, you should stop the MC because you may have parasites!  I was feeling really good, but he was NOT!  So, he broke our MC fast on the 5th day by eating some fresh grapefruit that evening.  I stuck it out the rest of the day.

On day 6, DH ate (of all things) eggs and toast for breakfast. Shocked  I was thinking about continuing on through the 10th day,  but we were having a carry in meal at church on Sunday, and I didn't know if I could resist without my DH being in the same boat with me!  So, I started with the orange juice in the morning and afternoon on day 6.  For the evening meal, we had some homemade vegetable soup. The next few days, I took it easy and at the carryin, I just ate vegetables.  They were DELICIOUS!

I had lost 9 lbs all together, but have gained most of it back already. Angry  I think I have a tendancy to retain water.  I had also thought that I  wouldn't be able to nurse my son anymore, but I still can!  PTL!  (He is 17 mos and I was considering weaning him anyway.)

So, there ya go!  We are looking into a good parasite cleanse for DH now.  He wants to do that and then a gallbladder/kidney flush.   I don't think he will be ready for another MC for a little while, even though it was not as hard as we had expected.  But I must say that I do feel alot better and my skin looks great!

Congratulations for sticking it out for the whole 10 days!  You go girl!

Hi, I am going to start the Master Cleanse on Monday but I have a couple questions. My main concern is that I will gain all the weight back quickly along with some extra pounds. Has this happend to anyone?
My goal is doing the cleanse is to help with me curbing my sugar craving which I picked up over the holidays and also to allow my stomach to shrink. After the cleanse is done I then hope to be satisfied with smaller portions and also get into a good workout schedule. I am basically going to use the cleanse as the jumpstart to healthier, in shape body. I would to hear about your results from the cleanse.

I'm on Day 9 of the MC and I have heartburn really bad right now. Actually, right now, sitting up, it's okay. But EVERY TIME I lay down, or even recline, it flares up. Is there anything I can do? I am so ready to break the fast with an apple 'cause I know that will take care the heartburn. I didn't get hardly any sleep last night, and I'm sooo tired. Cry I tried every trick/position I could think of to get some sleep and nothing helped.

I did do a liver flush last night with grapefruit juice and espom salt...and that's what started it. I only drank one cup of gf juice/ep. salt this morning. That's all I could stand.

I haven't had anything else to drink, except a little water. I'm scared to even drink the lemonade because that might make it worse. Peppermint has always made heartburn worse for me, so I don't want to try peppermint tea. But without SOMETHING in me, I'm really running out of energy fast.

Does anyone have any ideas?

Why not try taking some psyllium fiber?  It won't actually be digested, and it should help to soak up some of that excess stomach acid.  It also binds toxins, so it shouldn't interfere with the cleansing process too much.

I've done lots of liver flushes, and I know that icky heartburn feeling.  Hope you're feeling better soon!

Licorice root or slippery elm should help w/out messing up the cleanse.

Thanks for the advice. I am feeling better. 'Course, I'm not lying down either. I also haven't drunk near as much lemonade today as I have been.

Unfortuneately, I don't have any of the things ya'll suggested.  Undecided I'm hoping tonight will better, since I'm not drinking anymore grapefruit juice.  Roll Eyes

I'm gearing up to start the Master Cleanse tomorrow. I'm both dreading and excited about it. If I would actually make it for 10 days I would be so proud of myself!!
Anyone else wanna join me or doing it currently? Support will be such a blessing! Wink

I'm also going to start the Master Cleanse tomorrow.  I really dont want to, so I'm so glad someone will be doing this with me.  I did the 10 day cleanse 6 months ago and it was so good for me.  I want to do it again before I get pregnant (which could happen anytime!).  I just am not looking forward to it.  Let me know how you're doing!

This is day two for me, and it hasn't been too bad.  The first day I just felt a little hungry.  Today a little weak.  THe hardest time for me is meal time when the family sits down to eat.  But I enjoy the cooking part.  Last time I did this, it seems I had a worse time.  Have either of you done the MC before?  How's it going?

So excited to know I'm not doing this cleanse alone! Too bad we cant get together to sip our lemon water and chat!
Day one I had a dull headache most of the day. Today, day 2 I'm feeling fine, although hungry. i've been taking a qt. of the lemon water in the forenoon and a qt. in the afternoon with water inbetween. I'm taking the red pepper in capsules, 4 pills throughout the day. Ah...this self control feels good, but I cant wait to eat again!!

Thanks so much for the encouragement, ladies!  Day four and I'm doing pretty well.  The salt water flush worked for the first time today.  Yesterday it came right back up. Yuk!  Anyway, I think it's getting easier, though the days go by so slowly.  My white tongue went away today.  Does that mean anything?  How's it going with you?

Hi fellow cleansers!  I'm on Day 3 today.  I'm doing it a little differently this time around.  I'm drinking psyllium fiber first thing in the morning, and drinking a laxative tea last thing at night.  I've already lost some bulk in my gut area.  I usually get migraines and brain fog on the MC, but the psyllium seems to be taking care of it so far!  The cravings aren't as bad either.  I hate the SWF!  It makes me feel very sick for a long time afterwards, and it never worked very well for me, evern after I played with the salt to water ratio.  I am a little tired, but not too much.  Keep up the good work!

I'm pregnant!  I'm so excited, but also feel so bad because I haven't been eating anything for four days.  This is how I found out:  Last night as my husband and I were laying down I felt a hard swollen lump in my womb area.  And as we were looking at it, it moved to one side!  I guess with my intestines being empty it could be seen and felt a lot eaiser.  Right away my husband got up and made me an egg!  So tasty!  THis morning I did the EPT test, and sure enough!  Anyway, I wasn't worried about being pregnant yet when I thought about the cleanse because my periods hadn't come back since my 20 month old baby was born.  And I know the EPT test says it's not accurate if you're not having periods.  So I didn't bother doing the test.  I know better now - you CAN get pregnant before your periods start.  But I am worried about what four days with no food has done to our baby.  What do you think?  It's funny to have almost no idea when this baby is due.  We do homebirths so we'll just have to wait till I feel movement to know, I guess.  Well, it's so good to be eating again.  I'm taking it slowly.  Good luck with your cleanses.  I will keep reading your posts and praying for your endurance and encouragment to keep going.

Congratulations!  That is so cool that you can feel it!  I wouldn't worry too much about the four days of no food.  I was morning sick for the first 12 weeks, and barely kept anything down during that whole time, and had a healthy baby boy.  Just make sure to eat lots of good stuff now. Kiss

I just started the Master Cleanse today and I LOVE the spicy lemonade - reminds me of Mexican candy, yum!  The salt water is something else though - bleck, gag, yuck!  Ten days seems like a long time, but it's really nice to know that others are doing it at the same time, and that so many other welltellers have done it too.

I’m following the protocol that Dr. LeAnne Deardeuff suggests in her book “Inner Transformations Using Essential Oils.”  She suggests a week or two of colon cleansing, then adding in a kidney cleanse for a week or two, then doing the Master Cleanse for 10 days, followed by a liver cleanse for at least 4 months.   I’m to the Master Cleanse now, and I'm pretty excited that I'm finally doing it after wanting to for so long.

Day 7 for me!  I still feel really good.  A tiny bit of joint pain and a coated tongue have been my only symptoms so far;  I'm really hopeful that I won't get a headache this time at all!  I've only lost 4 pounds, but I'm sure that most of that is water weight.  Some of my clothes do fit a little better, but nothing drastic.

I take my cayenne in capsules.  I really hate drinking the cayenne straight. Tongue  More power to you!

I satrted the MC today, well last night if you count the senna tea.  This is my first cleanse ever!

I'm wondering if I can go 10 days without food. Roll Eyes  The lemonade is very good, even though the cayenne burns my thoat a bit.  But I hate the salt water drink in the morning....that was just gross.

I feel really horrible right now.  Light headed, tired and weak.

Working in the garden all morning might not have helped....not sure.

I'm so others are doing it too!

Monita, Congratulations for starting!  I'm on day 4 and still think 10 days seems like a long time.  If I count right, I think that morningglory and purple petunia are to day nine.  There have only been a few times that I've had the passing temptation to eat something, but momentum from each day completed has helped me.  Everyday I think it would be ridiculous to waste what I've already accomplished.  And it really helps to know that sooo many people have already successfully done the Master Cleanse - I think my competitive nature kicks in.  So far, the four days have been a lot easier than I expected.  I only had a headache on day 2.  But I'd agree that the salt water is NASTY. Tongue

One more thing in case you don't already know. Skin brushing is supposed to be helpful in relieving some of the detoxing effects.  I think the reason is that it helps circulation and lymph flow, which helps the body get rid of the toxins faster.  Here's a thread on skin brushing.

Day 10 for me!  Woo-hoo!  I'm not stopping after the 10 days, I'm going to go as long as I can.  I did get a migraine last night, and took some Tylenol, but it was my own fault for getting dehydrated.  I'm going to be more careful about that, and hopefully avoid taking more drugs. Roll Eyes

Today is day 3 for me.  Yesterday was just bad.  I felt hugry all day, nausiated and had a headache.  Today is going fine though, just hungry.  Cheesy This is my first cleansing experience so I had not idea what to expect.  I 'm taking it one day at a time and trying not to look at all the days I have yet to go.

Can I have anything else, like broth or veggie juice?  The taste of lemons is getting old.  Also, I think that I am so hungry because of all of the sugar.  Usually when I cut out cards I'm not even hungry , but I am starved right now. LOL!

Congrats to you Morningglory!  I'm inspired!

Monita, One thing that helped me not be hungry was to add extra water to my drink and drink it often.  To 4 T. fresh lemon juice and 4T. grade b maple syrup and the cayenne, I add up to a quart of water.  If I drink it often enough, my stomach isn't empty enought to get hungry.  Congrats on making through day 2 and the headaches, nausea, and hunger.
Today is day 6 for me and I'm going to try something active for the first time on the MC.  I'm surprised by the energy I've had so far so hopefully today will be alright.

Day 13!  I still feel really good. I haven't had anymore detox symptoms at all.  My tongue is still coated and yellow at night.  I've been T-tapping and skin brushing every day, and the only day I didn't was the day I got the migraine.  Today I get my last metal filling out, so I'm very excited about that.  Are you all still going?

Day 8 for me, I'm also considering going longer than 10 days.  Now that I'm getting closer to 10 it doesn't seem too far away.  I also have the white tongue.  Do you know what that indicates? I haven't read through the other MC threads yet to find out. I didn't pay attention, but I'm pretty sure my tongue had a white coating before the MC too.
Anyway, congrats on doing the MC!!!
