I have just been through a week of juicing cleanse and finished it off with the Hulda Clark's Gallbladder cleanse. I now think I have a UTI. I got one the last time I did the Gallbladder cleanse. Can anyone tell me why I get the UTIs with the cleanse?

Also After the cleanse my rashes were gone for 3 or 4 days and now they are back. I didn't get any gallstones out when doing the cleanse just the pea size and smaller bits.

I am also doing the water cure which is why the UTI is not real bad just a bit itchy on occasion. I am on a gluten free diet as I thought it was the reason for the rash but I haven't started eating gluten again. I am at a loss.

So now what should I do?

What should you do now, or what should you have done?
There's lots of threads on uti's and what to do about them.  Lovingly i say, that's off topic. This is a liver flush thread.
So um.. before posting i did read your earlier posts and found no mention of you doing the kidney herbs in preparation for the liver flush.  If you did, then correct me for the record.  For posterity's sake, allow me to say...
Hulda's protocol suggests the use of hydrangea, gravel and marshmallow roots, for three weeks prior to the liver flush.  This gets your kidneys (and bowels) ready to move all that junk when it cuts loose. There's a parsley broth that is to be taken regularly as well.
If one does not prepare for the cleanse properly, according to her protocol, then sickness and complications may result.  IMO, your garbage disposal was sluggish.  When those toxins released - filling up the toilet - they also reabsorbed because they couldn't all make it out.  The weakest link in your immune system failed.   Some folks get a fever or a cold or something.
You got a uti.

Okay I do a maintenance parasite cleanse so that was taken care of.

As for the kidney cleanse I didn't do Hulda's.  I did the water cure for at least two weeks before and then 9 days before I did a juicing cleanse. I had nothing but fresh veggies and fruits juiced. This did include parsley and Ginger in the juices. And I took vit. b's as well. On the curezone site it said that juice cleanse were kidney cleanses. Maybe I should try again with her kidney cleanse.

Did I mess up in using fruit juice? I did juice it so it was fresh but I am thinking maybe it was not good for cleansing the kidneys?

The UTI is gone now and I am guessing all the water I am drinking just took care of it as I am still doing the water cure thing.

Pliny wrote that "anyone taking a spoonful of mallows will be free of disease."
John Parkinson said that when the same is boiled in water with parsley it, "doth help to open the body."  Parsley juice might work topically as an insect repellent, but as a renal decongestant, you best broth it like the lady [Hulda] says.
Did you mess up in using fruit juice?  i dunno. What fruit did you use?  Was it organic or not?  And, i do not know if you were combining builders [vegetables] with cleansers [fruits] - that's a mistake IMO.  [These are rhetorical questions, totally off topic.] i went over to curezone to try to get an idea of what their juicing trip is.  The guy's liaryer had the document delisted because of something or other.
If by water cure you're talking 8-10 cups a day [that's what curezone said], that should be a way of life; not some passing 'cleanse' or 'therapy.'
Divide your weight in half, and drink at least that many ounces of pure water a day, for the rest of your life.  There's little doubt in my mind that that is what kicked the uti.... good job. Smiley
And this i say not to amanda but to others now and later -
A Cure For All Diseases is a great book.  Hulda is a heroic empiric; very extreme and very disciplined.  i think that anyone using her methods ought not lean unto their own understanding.  Get, or borrow, the book.  She reverses dairy intolerance in the elderly[!], reverses hiv and stops terminal cancer in its tracks.  What, do folks presume to improve on her methods?
Really amanda, nothing personal, i just loath how her stuff is cut and pasted around the internet, and taken out of her context.
Oh, amanda, if you use the herbs 3 weeks prior next time and still get a uti, i'll be flabbergasted.  Huh

ok I think I am getting off of the subject of this thread but would like to still be asking doug-again this question.

Please excuse my ignorance but what is an IMO? As for the juice I had all sorts. Not organic.  I had fruit juice in the morning up until 12:00pm and then switched to veggie for the rest of the day. I have looked up the other and may give the herbs a try if I can get them as I live in Australia. So I can't order them as they won't make it though quarantine.

Thank you so much for your help.

Okay ladies - I have scanned this thread but not read all 13 pages!   Shocked  Question about gallbladder flushes and children.  My 9yr old DS is getting an ultrasound today for what our ND thinks is gallstones.  This would be the result of not digesting fats for nearly his whole life.  We have that problem solved now (by taking ox bile for the time being), but fats make him VERY sick.  No pain.  Just sick.  Headaches, dizzy, etc.  He is plagued with food allergies that are getting better with the added ox bile; but they still exist.

So if this US shows gallstones/sludge, can a flush be done on a child and in what amounts should stuff be given (enemas, oils, epsom salts, etc.)?  We will not allow surgery to be done on our DS.  Also, would there be the kind of pain most people have when passing gallstones with a child passing them? (I guess what I really mean is can they really get that big with a child so young?).

TIA

Oops, you should have used organic produce.  You just replaced old toxins with new ones.
Good job on separating the fruits and veggies, though - cleansing in the morning and building through the day. That's a great way of doing it.  As a suggestion, the next time you wish to decongest your liver, you could try the apple juice diet that Hanna Kroeger published:
    First Day
Do not eat any food, just drink...
          1 8oz glass of apple juice @ 8am
          1 16oz glass at 10am
another @ 12pm and then every
          2 hours until 6pm.
The juice should be organic, or from a trusted source.
It should be free from sweeteners and colors.
Again, no food is to be taken for the whole day.
Second Day
Same procedure as the first day,  and no food.
At bedtime take 4 ounces of olive oil.
You may wash the oil down with hot lemon or apple juice.
This diet usually starts to work around 4am.
The little green stones that you'll see in the fecal
matter are from your liver and gall bladder.
The malic acid in the apples dissolves and liquefies the old stagnant bile,
and the olive oil moves the whole mess.

Ok my husband wants to do flush/cleans but it says your supposed to do a parasite cleans and kidney cleans first. But he's had some huge gallbladder attacs and i think he needs to do the flush/cleans ASAP or he might have to get his gallbladder removed. Can you skip the other two cleanses and go straight to flush/cleans and still get good results?

Hey yeah, hubs can do the cleanse without prepping.
It could make him sick for days or a week,
depending where all the bugs land,
    and how much toxins loosen,
     and where it all settles.

It is not too late to take vermifuges, hepatics and diuretics.
Like parsley broth, how much time does that take?
That'll help right away - as well as after the cleanse.

Not everyone gets sick; right away anyway.
amanda, as you see, didn't get sick.
Reckon she's healthier than hubbo tho',
having 5 kids and getting reflexology and all.**smiles**

Thanks everyone, Hubby did his flush and it worked super good Grin
This flush worked 10 times better than the one he did last year.

The one he did last year was no fasting, 10 limes and 1 cup olive oil drink that in the evening and walk around till you need to go. Sad And he was up for most of the night going to the bathroom. He felt sick for quite some time after that.

The one from curezone.com was much more gentle and did a better jod.

I'm considering my first cleanse, thanks to all the Wows on Welltellme!  I've been having gall bladder issues (diagnosed by my DO) since 5-6 months after giving birth to my third child.  Tests reveal that it's not inflammed or containing stones, but it is not functioning properly.  The doctor's recommendation is to try to heal it with diet for 6 weeks, and then try a mild cleanse, so as not to unload everything from the liver into the gallbladder and cause stones to form.  (I've been reading about a mild flush on www.gallbladderattack.com)
I'm curious if anyone else has had a similar case, or would suggest a varying course to help with the minor/uncomfortable pain.  I've also read that doing a flush while the gall bladder isn't functioning so well might result in more pain.  We don't know why it's not functioning properly.  (Could be related to pregnancy)  I'd really like to keep my gall bladder!  Any thoughts would be most welcome.

Has this ever happen to anyone, is it somthing to worry about?

My hubby's good, I think it was a lack of epsom salt and he had a slice of toast to keep him from puking out the lomon/olive oil mixture and i think maybe the toast prevented the olive oil from doing it's work. The toast never stoped my flush. So on the third and forth day i gave him more grapefruit/epsom salt and it finaly came out, weird. And he still had a few little stones, but i think he still more b/c his attacks aren't going away.
He wants to do The Master Cleanse and on the last day do another olive oil
mixture maybe that will get rid of ALL the stones.

Thanks for asking Grin

Sorry I don't know about the liver enzymes. If she is feeling sick maybe there's herb she can take till
her pregnancy is done and then do some sort of cleanse. I like The Master Cleanse it seems to an all

Has anyone purchased any of the cleanse products from http://www.baselinenutritionals.com/index.php?display=products&view=list. I read about them in the cancer book by Ty M Bollinger
I am particularly interested in the stone softening tincture. Here: http://www.baselinenutritionals.com/product.php?ID=68

I am interested in these products because I can't stomach the thought of so much oil. Lips Sealed Lips Sealed Lips Sealed

Also, I did the colon cleanse through Dr Schulze about 6wks-2months ago. Should I repeat it before doing a kidney/liver/gallbladder cleanse?  Or was it recent enough? TIA!

ETA:  Further research makes it appear as though the John Barron products and Dr Schulzes products are about the same...... So has anybody done the kidney or liver detox through Dr Schulze? I would love to hear testimonials. I am a little scared......... Also, does anybody know if you are supposed to do his kidney before or after his liver cleanse? TIA!!!

Thanks so much fort hat Motherofthree,

My friend has been back to the DR./ and she said that it isn't much to worry about that she is fine.

There is also a baby in our church with elevated liver enzymes. Mother was told it was the kind to do with the sun. So I said get that baby in the sun. Reminds me of jundice. but the baby also is going though a lot of test for celiac and cystic fibrosis. The poor sweety looks so frail. Celiac has come back negative.

Thanks for your help. I really didn't understand it either. that was a great article I appreciate your research

Chadycakes, if you were right here in the flesh, instead of being virtually present, I'd take you right into the kitchen and give you some kombucha (KT) and a starter to take home.  It is really great for the liver!!!  Made from sweet cool tea and a floating "mother", Kombucha tea is a fermented drink that is high in glucuronic acid, which is manufactured in (tiny) amounts in a healthy liver; it binds permanently with toxins until they are eliminated.  Kombucha also is high in live active enzymes, B vitamins, and other good stuff.  It has been around a long time, and migrated all over the world.  Where it stays in use, people are healthy, and do not get cancer.  And it is delicious!!!  A little like hard cider (which I adore!)  Unfortunately, I am new to online and don't know how to paste and hyperlink and all that; but just google it!  Actually, if you have Nourishing Traditions, you not only have some info (sidebars) but a receipe as well.  Milk Thistle extract is also a powerful detox and tonifier for the liver.

There is a huge amount of wisdom in Peter J. D'Adamo's books, too; he wrote Eat Right For Your Type, and 11 years later, a really cool book (just out) which refines the "blood type" connection even further. It is called the Geno Type Diet.  I am telling you this because you could make yourself sick by eating a lot of meat and dairy if you are blood type A, for instance.  Type A's have the weakest stomach acid of all, and the highest incidence of stomach cancer. Many type A's live on Maalox and Tums, because they seem to have too much acid, and really the problem is that they do not have enough to digest the heavy meat-protein diet...so their bodies are constantly trying to catch up.  It is, I believe, the missing link in all of our health info.  I really believe that in the future, one's blood type will play a significant part in determining medical treatment.  This is really, really worth a look.  I am a blood type B and can eat dairy products with impunity...but you may not be (a B) !!!!!  What's your blood type, Chadycakes?

Rebekah, maybe you can help with advice.  I had a single, huge gallstone several years ago but didn't get surgery; instead, I took some sort of acid pill that was supposed to dissolve it, and spent 2 years on a super low fat diet;  I have been off it now for 5 or 6 years, but have occasional problems...I have been very leery of the olive oil cleanse because it seemed to me that so much oil all at once could trigger a gallbladder attack.  Could it?  Your results sounded so encouraging, I'm almost ready to try it, but I don't know the whole story.  You said it was successful...but what, exactly, can happen when it is not?  Thanks for helping!

Hello everyone,

It has been ages since I have visited here.  My Niece in Law is pregnant and she just found out that she needs to have her gall bladder removed (they are going to try and wait until after the pregnancy).  I was wondering if she could possibly try the olive oil/grapefruit/epsom salt combination, w/o having to do a cleanse (maybe just not eat for a couple hours ahead of time?).  She is a vegetarian.  Any advice would be appreciated.

Thanks!

While I don't have experience with gall bladder pain during pregnancy, mine occured while nursing.  Most of the cleanses I avoided.  One website which gave me a wealth of information to understand what was going on with my GB was gallbladderattack.com.  It turns out that mine is not functioning properly, which could be treated without removal.  A more specific diagnosis of the issue would be required, and even without purchasing her products (a little pricey in my opinion), there are many recommendations she could do to help the GB.  Being a vegetarian, she would probably find the recommedations much more palatable than I did!  Beets and cucumbers are key.

For those who have done the liver cleanse/flush- particularly some time ago.

I read that, even if successful, most people will remake stones within 5yrs.  So, how often do you really do this flush?  annually?  more, less?
have you had to repeat it because of return of symptoms (assuming that they went away after the first time or a few tries)?

I found this article hugely helpful in understanding the role that the gall bladder and liver play, and how to maintain health in both.  http://www.karenhurd.com/concern_gall_bladder.html

It seems to me, that after a flush, if you're not clearing the bile out of the colon, then it's only a matter of time before the problems return.
